Ok, I know this is crazy, but seems lately I have been having dreams that seem to revolve around Tinsley Ellis (I know, Banesh, he's the man!). Anyway, they have been crazy at best. Last night I dreamed that I was in charge of feeding Tinsley and the Evil One before his first concert of June. For some reason I was transporting spagetti to him, got pulled over for speeding (listening to "double eyed whammy" ) and the officer is giving me sobriety tests for a possible DWI because I am dancing and singing to the music. He finds out where I am going, just laughs and lets me go.

Later, I finally get to where Tinsley's concert is located and he is none too happy about me being late with the spagetti! Broke my heart that I couldn't be more dependable.

John is always having dreams involving Warren Hayes and the two of them hanging out together.

Not sure if this can be interpreted to anything with meaning, but I didn't have spagetti last night to eat!

....and I didn't have corn either...................

Anybody else?

Interesting. What kind of sauce was on this spaghetti? Were meatballs involved?

Hi Susie! I know I've had one involving Warren, but I can't recall the particulars. Jerry Garcia has visited me nocturnally a few times, as well. But why won't Cindy Crawford come acallin'?!

But I understand you might be camping in July at Deep Creek. I love the Nantahala; now if I can just find camping reservations near the river. Hope to see you and John then.

We are definitely making plans. Gonna be a busy July. We will be at the beach for a week in July as well (the flounder are calling my name).

It will be fun (I think... I am not so sure about the rafting part for me)

Were you driving a golf cart when you got pulled over Susie? To funny You need to take a look at his schedule, figure out which one you can catch and deliver that spaggetti to him! I've had lots of dreams that were silly/funny about band members. I can only remember them during the first hour of waking up and then the're forgotten. Should write them down right away cuz I have some down right funny ones

Come on, it's great. Rafting is safe. And I've flipped a bunch there in the canoe w/ no injuries(and on a bunch of others too!). But a rainsuit is a must; that water is cold!

Hi Ruth! Have you signed up for the Peachcorps yet? I keep looking for you, and zilch!

I've definitely had dreams with Dickey Betts in them. Don't think I'll go into the particulars.

This is a Dream I had 10/08/2002, the next day I posted it here. Instead of telling it over, I just copied and pasted the original. 100% true dream, it made me feel really weird the next day

The Title of the thread was "Dreams I'll never see"..it can't be bumped up anymore.

This is a dream I had last night....I have thought about it all day....kind of left me with an empty feeling.........

I dreamed I was in this old house...with my now gone Grandpa...a man that I cherished and loved more than any man I have ever known...he was a musician too...not a famous one or anything like that......

anyway..it was him, an and old Black man who played the blues.....and Duane Allman. I just sat there and listened to them talk and laugh...they played music...but nothing I have ever heard before. My Grandad told me he liked Duane...and so did the old man.

Anyway after they played for a while...they all got up and started leaving. I said "where are you going".

Duane turned around and said "Kenny you know we don't belong here anymore...we just came by to see you and it's time to go back" and walked away.

I woke up and was so sad that it was a dream.......

Tears are in my eyes now as I think of it.

It was a wondeful dream.

I just wanted to share that...it was something to me.........

Later,
Kenny

Next is a post from 10/10/2002, I was afraid some folks may have thought I made it up. Almost everyone that posted to the thread was touched by the Dream, but one Dude gave the impression that I made it up. So I added this post

Mostly I was afraid people would think I scripted it for some kind of attention....which I would not do.....My Grandad's death hurt me more than anything I have ever went through.

He spent his time during my child hood years doing nothing but making me feel like the greatest child that ever lived...then when I got in my late teens and was partying all the time...I was not there for him...and I turned around and he was gone...for good....just wonderful memories left behind.

I have never forgiven myself for not going to see him enough and I never will.

Right after he died...I dreamed that he was on this Horse and buggy....he ask me to go for a ride with him...and I told him I was busy and could not go....he looked and said "You better go with me Kenny...because i'm not gonna come back"

I just thought....this coming Sunday would have have been his Birthday...he's been gone 21 years now....that big smile and the kindess Heart I ever knew still stays fresh in my mind........

He used to play the guitar and he had one of those harmonica holders like Neil Young used ...."Wildwood Flower" was his favorite tune as he would say.

when I was real little he would play and I would hold on to the side of the bed and dance for him....

I'm sorry to go on about a man that none of you ever knew, but I'm sure you all have lost someone that you would give anything to see again at one time or another.....

And this is my way of saying "I still love you Daddy(what I called him) and I miss you so very much.......

R.I.P. Louis Hanson.......

--------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------

I would never make something like that up.......

Van Morrison...

Don't ask me why. I'm not a fan and really know nothing about him. I go out to lunch with my mom, and we're sitting in this place and Van starts singing. I can't remember if he was on stage or at another table. But it was Van Morrison and he was singing....Weird.

That's very interesting Kenny and a good thing you wrote it down. You wouldn't want to forget that one. I enjoyed hearing about your grandfather. I remember my grandmother every day. I like to read your posts. So post away about whatever you like.

Kenny - I believe you. I can't tell you how many dreams I've had where I tell my father he doesn't belong here anymore because he is dead. A clear case of not wanting to accept how much you miss a person or persons you cared so much about.

It has been awhile ago but I had a dream about playing guitar with Duane. It was just me and him wailing on a piece similar to "the Mtn Jam solo". I don't play as well as I should but during the dream it was heaven. If I could half as good as in the dream.

Oddly there was no verbal exchange in the dream just me and Duane smiling and trading licks.

Oh yeah...

http://www.allmanbrothersband.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=XForum&am p;file=viewthread&tid=35985#pid829199

From 11-10-2005

While there was bit of a chat about disco today, this takes me back to along time ago and a Dream I Did (have) See. Disco was a real haunt to my love of music.

They say dreams are the bi-product of unresolved emmotional issues. I was a true ABB fan, a real peach head from the 1st note I had ever heard. Disco was king and I had not heard anything new or expecting anything on the horizon from my heros of the airwaves and turntable, the ABB. I was lost.
I had taken it upon myself to bring real music back to the streets of my beloved city. It was my peach-riotic duty to roll the windows down in my car and crank up the cassette player while Fillmore East was playing, cruise around Antioch Shopping Center or pull into the In-A-Tub Taco stand, a landmark at the time and a hang out of young men and women. If anyone dared come near, they felt the intense waving and flapping of my Peach Flag. Disco was taboo in my world...or so I thought.
But this dream, this dream, ....this dream...
It had been a few years. I was so exited. The ABB were taking the stage. But what had happened? Had the ABB sold out to the new popular music form. I was sickened when I saw and heard what was taking place.
Dickey, took to the stage...prancing out in a blue and green sequenced leisure suit, wiht a pink boa fashionably wrapped around his neck. His guitar, what had happened?...his beautiful Les Paul was now some glitterized Gibson( and not gold top style). The Gibson logo was branded with diamonds which turned the headstock into a gawdy light reflecting retina destroying prism weapon, that our rivals the Soviets were sure to duplicate if one of the KGB had attended this concert.
Gregg, came out on stage strutting like the opening scene of Saturday Night Fever.
He was in skin tight white pants (in all the right places) a white blazer, white shoes, a silk disco shirt which was unbuttoned down to the last button revealing a shag carpet of hair and a Fort Knox vault of braided gold chains. He took to stage center...CENTER....behind a stand up keyboard like that KC and the Sunshine Band singer. My guru of the written song Gregg had turned into a poster boy for ACME Mirrored Disco Balls.
Jaimoe and Butch, both dressed to kill....or pick up some dancing queens at some swanky disco night club while politely sipping down pina coladas.
Jaimoe and Butch started laying it down...Oh my God....it was that disco high hat beat !
Dickey, started spinning around on one foot, while his guitar was attached to that DayGlo pigment #15 Neon Pink boa....then he went into the famed Travolta stance. His nose stuck in the air, chin moving up and down, his body bobbing to the disco high hat beat at the knees, then he lowered his head, lowered the raised arm and pointed his still extended index finger left and right at the crowd and gave that " Looking For Mr Goodbar" eye wink and then went into some sort of spaz attack Kung Fu kick routine.
Then he hit a note and more notes...some sort of super transistorized level 10 phase shifter guitar licks ala Staying Alive. His Jewelled Les Paul was even plugged into a solid state amplifier that King King would have trouble pearing over.
The unseen bass player was thumping and plucking the standard slap the root note and walk up and down the neck while plucking with fingers line...uurrgghhhh !!!!
The disco ball lit up sending beams of light, jeez I needed to put on my dark sunglasses...to protect my eyes from Dickey's harmful headstock light rays??? or...to try to remain un-noticed while the preachers and disciples were blaspheming the church I belonged to?
The lighted mirrored ball started spinning, the floor changed and lit up into that multi-colored checkerboard pattern. Gregg was spinning and then did the splits and came right back up in a style that would make a young Nadia Komenich rage wiht envy, what next...what next I thought....
hark....the alarm clock went off and there was gonna be NO SNOOZE button that day, I didn't want to take the chance of going back into that dream....unlike the one I always wanted to revisit wiht that girl I used to see at Bob's IGA all the time.
So it was off to work, windows rolled down, cassette player cranked wide open to preach to the city...." We're gonna do a little number from our first album" and down the road I drove in that early mornin' sunrise....
