Hailed as a “New Guitar God” by Rolling Stone magazine and as “the most awe-inspiring electric slide guitar player performing today” by the Wall Street Journal, Derek Trucks blends jazz, rock and blues into one amazing experience.
This young rocker who has shared the stage with the Bob Dylan, the Allman Brothers Band and Eric Clapton joins singer, guitarist, distinctive songwriter and four-time Grammy nominee Susan Tedeschi for the Soul Stew Revival Tour.

Don’t miss your chance to see these two great performers backed by a 20-piece band in one of the most beautiful venues on earth. Before the featured performance enjoy the music of Scrapomatic, featuring Derek Trucks Band lead vocalist Mike Mattison.

I signed up as a Garden Passholder for $60. The tickets are sold through Ticketmaster. According to the Longwood Garden's website you get a password to buy the tickets once you become a Garden Passholder. I called the number listed on the website and all this is new to them. I'll call back tomorrow when the tickets go on sale so I can try to finally get better seats than Alan (ABSNJ). I don't think I will though, he's got connections.

I tried to see a seating chart via TM with no luck. Michael, let me know if you have any luck with that, and check your PMs, too!

That's funny... I called Longwood and they told me seats were being sold only via some"ticket agency"- they could not even say who it was. The DTB site lists a pre-sale tomorrow, but the link just points to the Music Today site with no ticket information... Longwood also didn't know anything about Passholders getting a pre-sale...

There's a link to a seating chart (in PDF format) on this page:

Hasting's was wondering about the pre sale and I was trying to help him figure it out. I noticed that Derek's tour page went right to the Music Today site but I thought perhaps that the site would have their pre sale tomorrow also.I would still check Music Today in the morning as they have been known to wait and put up links to sales a few hours before the sale. Just enough to make you crazy wondering. The other thing is that the seats often get better as the sale gets going which is opposite TM!!

DTB ticketing would not post a Music Today sale unless it was happening. There will probably be a certain amount to Music Today and to the Garden Passholder. Then reg sale on the 30th!

The Longwood show is not listed on DTB ticketing http://www.dtbtickets.musictoday.com/DerekTrucksBand/calendar.aspx

but it will be worth checking that tomorrow as well...

Your ticket includes admission to the gardens which I heard are beautiful. I'll probably check out of work early that day to take a tour.

Did you guys see the part about the 20 piece band? That's interesting!

It is listed here though...

http://derektrucks.com/tour_info.html

DTB ticketing is a purchase thru Music Today! Definitely check it out. Like I said they have been known to add the show the day of the sale. They did this for ABB Red Rocks! Just an FYI

Terri, how many did they have at the Fox NYE??? There was a lot!

Edit... now that I think about it, there were probably 10 to 13 at different times but not 20?? I wonder if that's a typo??

Just a plug for the venue- whenever I'm in that part of PA., Longwood Gardens is unbelievably peaceful, fragant and beautiful. Please go just to experience the wonder of this amazing horticultural masterpiece.

Ok guys,
I bought the stinking garden pass and the folks at Longwood are telling me that the passwords they've been giving out aren't working. How did you get in?
Thanks.

I wish. I have to ration vacation days. Too much fun, not enough time off! I'm sure it'll be a wonderful show in that environment.
