My coffee maker gave out on me about six weeks ago and I'm too lazy to go get a new one!

We have a Dunkin Donuts just down the street and they make the best coffee in town.
Their coffee is rich, smooth tasting, no bitterness. And it's strong enough so you know you are
drinking coffee and not hot colored water.

I have now developed a craving for DD's coffee. It is 100 times better than Starbucks and
costs a lot less. The trick is to stay away from the donuts.

I'm a coffee freak/snob,...I admit it, and rarely buy coffee outside the house. I have a coffee machine I travel with and bring to work along with my coffee I buy from a micro coffee brewery which only sells online. In my work we either have a Grip truck when shootin on location, or a Grip room at the sound stages...either place, my machine travels with my crew,...I have them all hooked. others on the set can't believe the aroma, and are always looking to grub cups off us rather than craft service coffee.
If I do get coffee out, and Im in NYC I look for "World Coffee" shops...excellent coffee.

I'm hooked on my brand like a cigarette smoker is hooked to their favorite brands.
I drink about 10-12 cups a day.

I'm right there with you. Life it too short to drink bad coffee or cheap tequila. If I'm forced to buy coffee on the street, I look for local organic coffee shops. If I have to go to a chain I try to make it Caribu Coffee.....much much better than Starbucks.

I like Melita Sun and Moon organic, it's like a Heineken of coffee...not overly strong but enough flavor that it's not like drinking warm water either. Nicely balanced and smooth.

To me, Dunkin has one of two tastes, one like they burnt it, another like it's strong tea. Either way, I rarely enjoy it. But, it's a matter of taste right?

Peter, I would love that! Lets really firm up as the date gets closer. We just had a visit from clients of ours from Holland and they freaked over the coffee we served...and they go to Amsterdam all the time! I would love to try yours...coffee freaks usually have the best around.
Remember, you have an ally here in NYC. I am very close to the Bronx Zoo, and Arthur Ave...the finest Italian food/neighborhood in NYC. Others here live much closer to where you are staying so you are in good hands all the way around.

Used to drink Dunkin but after my office changed the only thing close was Starbucks. I had been driking this for two weeks when I was late one day and stopped for a Dunkin. It was WATER! Disgusting.... 80% water

I'm proud to say I've never had one cup of coffee in my life. I got too many bad habits as it is.

DD is indeed some of the best coffee on the market!

If you love coffee and don't have a Cuisinart Grind N' Brew at your home and you can afford one, there's not one household appliance I could recommend more. The difference between buying whole bean vs. ground and having it fresh ground right before it is brewed is so incredible even the most jaded of coffee drinkers notice. My wife and I used to have family members ship DD whole bean pounds to us from Chicago before it came available in our market.

Starbucks brewed coffee, I don't know what it is, just tastes too oily to me.

Hmmmmm.

I have to differ. If you're lucky enough to live near the Canadian border, Tim Horton's coffee is the stuff man.

Don't mess with my Timmy Ho's!

My fav coffee is an iced coffee I get froma Viet Restaurant in upper Non-Fort Worth.
Very strong and it brews ( slow drips) at your table while your eating your meal into a small glass that is 1/2 sweetened condensed milk and ends up being a 50/50 mixture of the coffee and scm. Then mix it up and pour it over a glass of ice. Be prepared to get some jitters.

I am right there with ya Jeff! pretty much anyone who lives in Canada or in any decent proximity to, well, no explanation needed! the fact that there is a line that wraps around any timmy ho's pretty much any time day or night, well that oughta be some clue to that it's in demand! in fact, i just got home & i have a hot fresh cup sitting in front of me right now, lol!

I had an electric vacuum pot that gave up on me. But I am ordering a new one.
It makes the best coffee at home. I also have a heavy-duty burr grinder. And I buy whole bean Columbian and sometimes Kona. My husband's family owns a coffee finca in Nicaragua and we have had some great mountain grown small Arabica beans. By for the best.

In the meantime, I'll continue with my Dunkin Donuts coffee. It has rich full-body taste.
Starbucks coffee tastes like it was burned.

As for expresso, the best is Cafe Cubana. Without the sugar. You can get a cup cheap at
any Cuban restaurant in S. Florida. I also make expresso at home!

Vinny, I want that grips job making coffee for you. As soon as you shoot Antonio again!

Yup. Had the most articulate slurred speech ever, and could've walked a straight line from KC to St. Louis.

Hi Jeff, Canada runs on Timmy's. My car can't pass one...although we discovered some Sumatran coffee at Starbucks this week that ain't bad either.
