Poster? Oh I see it. The miniseries goes onsale 5-18 but it's for multiple shows only. For single shows, onsale is 6-8 w/ a possible presale before. Ck the thread on P2.

oh I see that both ABB shows count for the mini series so what 3rd show are you guys gonna buy? I am thinking Willie and BB since that is just before the 33rd celebration of my 17th bday and I could prolly swing another trip to Hotlanta.

Where did you see this MoT? I think you must buy series tix, 3 shows, then you can add more, such as the Sat ABB out of series. That's the way it was earlier this yr when I bought a miniseries.

I just got an email from livenationent.com and it talked about the Chastain series and miniseries going on sale sunday morning at 10

here is the relevant contents:

Additional Show Info

July 6 Lyle Lovett
July 24 Tony Bennett
July 27 Willie Nelson & B.B. King
August 3 Journey with Heart and Cheap Trick (Non Table Set-Up)
August 17 Collective Soul - Live - Blues Traveler (Non Table Set-Up)
August 20 Backstreet Boys
August 31 Dave Stewart & His 30-Piece Rock Fabulous Orchestra
September 20 David Byrne - The Songs of Byrne & Eno
October 10 An Evening With The Allman Brothers Band (Non Table Set-Up)
October 11 An Evening With The Allman Brothers Band (Non Table Set-Up)
Tickets for the full series or any combination of three or more shows will be available online at www.chastainseries.com or charge by phone by calling Chastain Tickets at (404) 233-2227. Purchasing either or both of The Allman Brothers Band shows applies towards a mini-series package.

so I guess we need to call and find out the real scoop but you know I was wondering why Lana said it was possible the shows would sell out before the on sale and possible fan club presale could happen.

I would be floored if the ABB shows sold out via season ticket sales. I may be wrong, but I don't see that happening.

go back a few posts on the guestbook Tim and read Lana's post about the potential for a sell out and then a no presale for us.

Why would livenation say that specific statement on the email I just got if it weren't true?

it looks like i will be doing the 3 show deal for thedeadhead and myself if i cant be sure of getting better seats... i figure i can always upgrade later and sell those... the third show will be up to my brother who lives there but i can always get rid of all of these... i understand this place is a very tough ticket sometimes and i just cant take the chance... my big concern is that as i understand it, you dont know what kind of seats you will get buying the mini-series... i hate that more than having to buy the third show.

I received the same Live Nation email MotherT did. It doesn't show Saturday as being out of series. However the Chastain Park website does show Saturday as out of series.

My bet is that the Chastain site is correct.

Well maybe it does count. I might try Sun to put in 2 ABB shows plus one other (D Byrne, probably) and see if the order is processed. Still, I hate the sight unseen thing, especially after the marginal tix I got before on my miniseries. It will not sell out on the subscriptions, maybe half the house will go for the Fri show and even less on Sat.

They said they assign seats by first come first serve on sunday morning...all orders are date and time stamped. I would think they give the best seats they have to season ticket buyers and mini series buyers. I am not crazy about the not knowing what seats you get for a while but at least you will get seats and as many as you need together.

I just want to be in the place!

The full series folks get priority. My friend has had the full subscription for years and he gets the exact same box seats every yr.

$45.50-$100. Source:AJC. This is pre-TM fee price. Chastain adds only $7 to ticket price w/ no other fees, always nets a few bucks cheaper overall.

Just to add some more info to Teresa's post, apparently we talked to people at about the same time:

Alright got the lowdown from a guy who answered the phone at the chastain ticket office. The "out of series" statement only matters for those who own the entire B series meaning they only have tickets to the Friday show. Thusly if you want to buy the mini-series then in fact both of the Allman Brothers shows would count towards your 3 shows in the mini series. You are able to request tickets at the three different areas/price levels independently for each show and they will assign you the best available seat after they have taken care of their "whole series owners." The guy said seating prefrence goes like this, whole series, mini series, general sale...w/ those seats given to ticketmaster generally being to the side of the stage and then towards the rear of the amphitheater.

so Ryan, you could order the expensive seats for the 2 ABB shows and cheaper seats for your 3rd show?

Well that is interesting. Maybe I will give it a go Sun. You could go for good ABB seats and some cheap lawns for the 3d show and toss em if you had to.

that is what I was thinking Brock and you will probably get a pretty good seat if you only order singles for the ABB which is what I always did at Lakewood. I know most of the fans at the show anyway so I won't be sitting with strangers!

I was thinking that too. Since I live in Atlanta another trip to Chastain wouldn't be an issue. Or perhaps we could unload the third show tickets on Craigslist for cost or close to it.

Which of the others would most likely have the highest demand? Willie and B.B ?

I'll probably go for pairs MoT. Nearly the whole house will be the $100 seats, it's only about the last 10 rows in back that will be mid-priced, and you don't want to sit there, nor the lawn for that matter.
