Anyone know anything about if a Chicago date is going to be set for the ABB? I haven't heard much except a little speculation on WXRT, I am really hoping they return again (as much as I hate the rosemont theatre)

But at least on some good news, DICKEY this weekend!! Friday night in Chicago and a Free Show on Saturday in Franklin Park!!

Sure would be nice to see them back at the Chicago Theatre. I guess I never really understood why they moved to the Rosemont.

I went to the Rosemont show last year. I guess keep listening to them because they promoted the show last year. I don't care about the venue, just need my ABB fix!

Somebody earlier said they were looking at Northerly Island - haven't been to a show there, but I think Phil & Friends are playing there this summer

Looks like you heard right Sang! Concert on the lake! Have never been to a show there but have visited all of the museums and Soldier's Field. Is that how they handle parking for these shows (trying to visualize things here and it's not working)?

I've been once to this venue. Parking is in the Soldier Field garages and they have shuttle busses to the venue. The beach behind is a public beach so if you don't want to pay for a ticket you can hang at the beach and hear the show. Even on the hottest of summer nights it gets cool so bring a sweater. Concessions very pricey. $15 bucks for a margarita.

Thanks for the info, Julie! Looks like a good location for some outdoors music! And if it wasn't so close to the RR show I'd probably try to swing over there (driving to CO...no way can I make it east then turn around and head west ... at one time, maybe )

I'm downright giddy. This is SO much better than Rosemont!

Well it looks like I have to make some travel adjustments. When the Brothers cancelled their Beacon run, I cancelled my flight to NY and got a voucher to use for another flight. I am using that ticket to fly to Denver to see the Brothers at Red Rocks. However, I scheduled the flight for Aug 28th. Now I'll have to reschedule that flight. There is no way I'm missing the Brothers at Charter One. I love that venue. It my favorite outdoor venue in the midwest. I'm seeing Yes as well as Phil Lesh there this summer.

Lefty, I think I will make it out to see you at the HOB this weekend.

Cubs are in first place. The White Sox are in first place. The Brothers are coming to Charter One Pavillion. Things are looking up here in Chicago.
