I like modern art - but this place...well, hmmm.... And I can only hope that anybody who spends a billion dollars on a single family residence is also spending some of their wealth on something meaningful - putting food in the hands of many starving people, providing shelter to those without...the list goes on.

Hell's Kitchen. A couple of weeks ago they were making pizza. Gordon Ramsey unveiled his truffle pizza that he serves at his London restaurant. $200 a pop for a personal size pizza. My first thought: even if I could afford a $200 pizza there are so, so many more worthwhile things I could do with those dollars.

I guess it's all relative. Who am I to tell someone else what to do with their money but c'mon...

A very worthy thought, but in the case of whoever "needed to show the world how rich they are" I sincerely doubt it..

I like it. Money is relative. And you can't fault people for having it. I agree with Deb and hope they are also philanthropic. People also think that Bill and Melinda Gates have some 'showey' real estate, yet they are some of the most generous people in the world.
