The weather Channel has a reporter there. Apparently a funnel cloud or tornado has hit Macon.

Anyone know if the Big House/Museum has been damaged?

That is so scary Brock. Did Dublin get much damage from the twisters?

I have lived in 'hurricane country' my entire life, except for a few years in "earthquake country", but you do get some advance warning and time to prepare. What the heck is going on with the weather? I already know the answer.

This thing is really big. Tornados are tracking all over the midwest and south.

Hope everyone is safe and sound.

The weather channel sent their reporter to Kite. Just showed the interview. Looks bad.

Nasty stuff.

Everyone is fine, as far as I know. It started around 5 this morning and went thru at 68 miles an hour. Lot's have people without power and we have to be careful about using water. One of the pumping stations was hit. Lots of trees down. Trees were on I75. We have a curfew from 8 tonight til 6 a.m. tomorrow. No one was killed in Macon but, someone in Dublin died.It was a very scary morning. Lucky of me, I had 4 very good people call me to make sure I was up and ready to jump in the tub with Truffle. I would have slept thru the whole thing, sirens screaming and all. Thank God no one was hurt here in Macon.

Don't know about Dublin Ruth, I'm in Duluth, NE of Atlanta, but I see a woman was killed here this afternoon by a tree breaking off onto her. It's blowing like crazy here right now.

OMG I meant Duluth. I don't know where Dublin came from. It sounds really bad.

There was one fatality reported in Dublin. No details, but I did call Tony Tyler to check on him. He was in Savannah at the time of the storms.
