My employer is having a company photography contest. I'm trying to decide which pictures to enter. There are 4 categories, people, animals, landscapes and miscellaneous. These shots are the ones that I'm partial to.

But you all that go to my PAD thread or visit my web page http://www.pbase.com/bbfotos see something that you think is better please speak up. Sometimes the emotional attachment to the moment the shot was taken overrides objective thinking. Know what I mean Vern?

Not that the prizes are much but I'm trying to get in the corporate media dept and perhaps winning something would help get me noticed.

I get one entry in each category, these are my personal top 2. Thanks in advance for any input given

People

Animals

landscapes

Misc.

The first in each category are the ones that I like best. Good luck!

Of the pics shown here my favs are 1, 2, 1, 1. I really like your B&W shot of the tree against cloudy sky (2960) and the hickory nut (6897), too. Good luck, Bill!
(note - I like so many of your photos ... started looking through your site and kind of had to put the breaks on because I had a class to attend. )

I prefer the second in each, except for the moon rise.

I'd take that over the landscape.

Great shots all, especially the flame top Les Pauls with Zebo straps and Duane shirt -- I just don't think your judges would appreciate it as much as I do ...

They all are very nice. I think the black and white of the two mules is the strongest pic.

I'm curious what the results would be if it were a photo of donkeys and a photo of an elephant

Agree on this. I think your gorilla photo is very powerful, Bill - something very sad in those eyes.

I also agree that the gorilla photo is very powerful, in fact this was my hardest choice. It's just that the B&W donkey picture has a little bit more depth of feeling to me.

That's exactly the word I think of when I look at that photo.

I'm not sure there's a better picture floating around the net than this one:

Stunning work.

All those shots are good, but I love the moon shot...

Nice work, Bill. Good luck!

Hophead's response is the very reason I asked for some input.

Thanks those who replied. Anyone else that feels so inclined please do so. I'm not turning my entries in till Monday
