Any venue owned by Live Nation and you can be SURE that the brokers have the best seats.

Just go take a look at stub hub and you will see them all there. They must have 30 Pit tickets for Camden for sale.

Hey just an FYI, I tried going on livenation to buy pre sale seats and did not find good seats. Then went on ticketmaster and pulled better seats. Not great mind you but at PNC I was pulling 300 level seats and then 100 level. They were in the way back though. I am waiting for public on sale. Just thought you might want to know.

How is the sound quality at Jones Beach? Is it worth going from NJ?

I prefer PNC sound to Jones with PNC seats 300 level or closer. Lawn at PNC vs. cheap seats at Jones is a toss-up IMO

At 2:04, I couldn't get a pair of seats for Jones Beach. I will do the best I can on Saturday morning when the general sale takes place.

If you can get orchestra seats or within the first ten rows of the first level up near the center the sound is generally good. Once you start to get higher up, if a breeze is blowing (and the breeze is always blowing there it seems being on the water) it will start to mess with the sound.

Just grabbed a pair in Sec C Row R near the aisle. Happy with those, considering that almost all the seats down there go to season subscribers. Last year the best I did was Sec. G.

I think I am going to just get lawn seats for any summer shows I go to this year. I don't mind the crowd @ The Beacon, as it is indoors. I just feel like hanging back this summer and having a little space - hopefully. I am thinking Bethel Woods and SPAC. I already have lawn for Steely Dan @ Bethel Woods. Anyone been there? What's the dealio?

I have been wondering lately......does anyone really know if Gregg will be ready for these shows? I hope he is doing better.

I bet what happened is all the bands got their own section for the pre-sale. Ratdog obviously got a section, the ABB got a section and WH got a section. So hopefully our section will be filled with Warren Heads!!!

Jones Beach use to be among the best outdoor venues anywhere. It's ruined because:

1) They added an upper level of concrete. The sound bounces off the concrete, sucks.

2) No alcohol is served in he arena, no beer, nuttin'. Unless you're willing to pay for a VIP access to a tent where I'm told they have beer and maybe wine.

I don't even waste a thought about going there anymore. I'm a big boy and enjoy a couple of beers at a concert that I've spent a great deal of ca$h and travel to attend. I'd rather see a smaller band in a bar i.e. DTB, Umphrey's etc... then go to ANY show at Jone Beach.

JMHO and YMMV~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The biggest block is reserved for VIP and Season ticket holders- that would be the center section and probably some on the side.

absnj, you are partially right. Not all the seats in the front section are vip though. Why just go and look at the brokers sites and you will see plenty of regular seats for sale three and four times the cost. I suspect Live Nation has a kick back agreement with the brokers for their promoters share of the tickets. That would be my guess.

The bands get tickets all over in the front sections, What the band's do with the tickets varies. I know Warren/Mule tends to turn over the vast majority of their portion of tickets to the regular fans through their presales. Warren's allocation did get offered to us at the last the last minute and was a nice little surprise.

People should also remember that they can do mail order for tickets through RatDog as well. You might not get the best seats at first as they go to the fans who have bought tons of tickets through the years, but it is worth a try. Also, while you may not know your seat right away, you will get the tickets in time for the show. Go to RatDog.org or instructions under Tour Info.
