I signed up. Look at other bands that have recently buried (at least temporarily) the hatchet.

I'm all for Dickey Betts to return back to ABB, but c'mon man! Be realistic! The fans don't OWN the band. It's not a government operation where you can put in your two cents worth. It's owned by the band members themselves and they have a right to decide what they want to do. Don't get me wrong, it would be great to have Dickey back. Eight years have passed and I'm sure that the animosity have passed. Dickey and the ABB seems happy with their current bands. I would not mess up a good thing.

I saw two ABB shows this summer and I didn't miss Dickey at all. last time I saw him (2003 or so) he was still playing the same old licks. He hasn't been the same since Warren and Woody left in '97. He's still damned good, but not great.

Big ups to Dickey Betts -- his band was really good last month & he was THE musician on that stage --
I know a lot of people feel that way & w/good reason, that was a monster lineup in the ABB all those years w/Warren & Allen, but the following two years w/Jack & Derek, Dickey was every bit as amazing IMO, also the DB&GS shows w/DDT & David Stoltz, & now the band w/Duane, Andy A., Pedro, Mike & the two drummers Frankie & James is sooo good
...on a freezing cold night last month Dickey was both damn good AND great, I saw that with my own two eyes -- but yes, that 1990s band was fantastic, I really hear what you're saying -- am not looking to disagree w/anyone, just props to bro. Betts -- look at that dude in the mugshot -- the guy is one of the most amazing badasses that ever came down the pike IMO -- carry on...

Great comment Stephen

LMAO.. I guess besides the obvious OUTSTANDING MUSICIAN... his TONE AND STYLE borders on musically orgasmic... but what you said ..Bad boy.. big attraction sometimes to the Ladies.. who knows why .. alittle dangerous I suppose.. Me likey

By you saying that brings me back to the very first time I saw the ABB in 73'... and Dickey was center stage with his classic stance... in total and complete charge , with the huge attitude of here it is... take it or leave it... but it was like a vacuum .. you just got sucked in, totally with no regrets.. leaving the show shaking your head in complete amazement of what you had just seen and heard... But it also was the whole Band as well.. Dickey just stuck out then... but he rocked with Lamar and Chuck.. Damn that was great.

I'm all for Dickey returning with ABB. At the least he should make an appearance at the Beacon with them in March.

Reddog has an idea that I like. They should end the Beacon run with Gregg, Dickey, Butch and Jaimo jaming as a four piece. What a sight it would be.

I think for the 40th, that would be a cool thing to do, even if they don't get back together.
