Hey everyone! I'm really gettin tired of this mess at work! There's a couple of sales associates at Wal Mart that really think their the boss, when their not! Some of them have a little more seniority than I do! I'm tired of non managers telling me what to do! This mess is really t'ing me off! It only hasn't been going on at Wal Mart,it's been going on at other retail stores that i've been employed by too! I,m trying to keep my patience, but one day I'm afraid I might wind up telling some of them smart mouths off! Anyways I'm trying to get out of retail and find something more better where everyone doesn't try to be the Chief! "There's just too many cheifs and not enough indians!"

You'll find that there are the same types of puffed-up egomaniacs in every line of business. I hope you are lucky and find a place that is the exception. Good luck!

Get you a Little Debbie Distributorship. Ask about it from your LD Distributor who works your store. Or you can PM me with any questions.

Go to your sho nuff supervisor and let them know there's folks trying to be wannabe supervisors. Let the sho nuff supervisor deal with the wannabe supervisors. Losing your cool and threatening them with a smack upside the head won't do you any good. It'll just get you in trouble. Of course, this coming from the guy who wouldn't hesitate to tell someone, "EFF YOU! You aren't my boss!"

You wouldn't believe the number of times I've thought about doing just that.

Mostly on days when there's all kinds of air traffic delays and everyone starts hating the FAA and I start thinking how nice it would be to drive a Little Debbie or Hostess truck around and actually have people be glad to see you.

I feel your pain....I have had many office/indoor jobs - there is always friction between people, and it can really suck. One reason I really like my outside sales job selling Red Bull to bars and restaurants. I have bosses, but they generally leave me alone. I'll keep my fingers crossed it stays this good. I spend a ton of time in my car, and that can be frustrating, but I will take it over being in one space for 8 or more hours a day. Done it, could never do it again. I actually tried it in between beverage jobs a few years ago. An inside sales job......couldn't believe how much I immediately dreaded going to work every day, after having done the outside sales for 4 years or so. Every time any sort of delivery or related vehicle would come into the parking lot, I would wish I was just dropping something off and then on my way. I lasted 7 weeks on the inside job.

WalMart is a retailer; they do not manufactor their own products.

Yes,

but they demand such low prices for shelf space that can only be met with
"made in china" on them. So manufactors send the work to china or
go out of bidnez

Same end effect.

Next time one of these "not-the-boss" types gives you any grief just pause for a second. Look at them with a blank expression and then say, "didn't they fire you?" "I heard they were going to fire you!" The just give a slight shrug, turn and walk away. This will mess 'em up.

Watch this.

Hang in there. Is there a Costco nearby? There was a '60 Minutes' episode that showed they treat their employees well.

You would have to go by the store they are working. Believe me, they work their butts off.
Many hours, no vacations, no insurance provided. You own your own company. You just purchase your product from the bakery and resale to the stores. Its fast pace. Most stores
don't give you a lot of crap, but Walmarts. They think they are the only store you work, and
will tie you up there to keep you from getting to your other chain stores. Chain stores have delivery cut off times too. You have to have thick skin...........You provide your own vacation time and insurance.

I can honestly answer any questions you may have about any interest in becoming a ID.(independent distributor). I was a ID for 3 years and worked as a District Rep for 10 years in the Charlotte area. I say honestly, because they will not sugar coat the job. They are looking for folks that are willing to go the extra mile to make it happen. I would give you street level answers..................pros and cons.
