So today I did some across state driving to do a college visit to a school I might potentially transfer to and since it was 2.5 hours a way I brought some CDs of course and these five CDs were great albums to listen to while driving

1. Widespread Panic- Free Somehow
2. Rolling Stones Rock N Roll Circus
3. Grace Potter- This is Somewhere
4. The Beatles- Abbey Road
5. Linkin Park- Minutes to Midnight

Also what do u listen to while driving?

Led Zeppelin II
Clash-1st Album (angry music which often matches my driving state of mind in Atlanta!)

Any kind of heavy or upbeat jam music when I drive. Don't care to much for mellow music when I'm driving. Makes me too tired.

Two weeks ago when I did 2 1/2 hours each way to see Santana/DTB at Mohegan Sun we listened to:

The trip up - Phil & Friends at the Nokia 11-5-08
The way home - Gov't Mule at the Beacon 12-29-07 + a few tracks from the Pretenders live album 'The Isle Of View'.

Great weather and no traffic. A very enjoyable roadtrip!

Steve Earle- Just An American Boy

I'm having trouble getting into The Mules last cd Mighty High. I just don't care for those DUB mixes.

We've been doing quite a bit of driving lately. My husband and I
each bring our favorites and some we both like.

Annie Lennox - Bare
Gato Barbieri - Que Pasa
Nina Simone - The Blues
Santana - Supernatural
The Band - Music From The Big Pink
Highway Call - Richard Betts
Build Your Own Fire - Jimmy Hall
I Can Tell - John Hammond

When I'm driving alone, I just play Gregg and Lucinda Williams.
