My voice is still hoarse. I hear songs in my head over and over. My legs and feet are sore. I can't bring myself to move the (empty) cooler out of the living room. I'm still eating the leftovers. I'm processing memories I will cherish a lifetime; thinking of and missing new friends. Songs I've known and loved for decades are changed to me forever.

The pictures on my lost and found camera tell it all about the wonderful folks and what a blast I had. I finally got most of my pics posted on my MySpace page. I only have dial-up and it takes forever, plus I am a closet Luddite. So, please, someone who is my "friend" on MySpace, copy any you think worthy where ever you think is appropriate. www.myspace.com/rlrichie There are two Wanee albums: Wanee2008 is of other people and Wanee as a whole; wanee 2008 is my own personal Wanee pics.

So anybody else got symptoms of PWS?

Peace and love,
Rebecca

My voice is almost back. It was nice to have Monday off. My calves and hips were so sore on sunday and monday that it hurt to walk. What a great time though! I can't wait for next year!

You can get it next year, Ruthie.

I too have the hoarse voice, sore legs, blister on the foot and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

Must be something in the dust down there that makes everyone hoarse by the end of the weekend. My voice is 75-80% back. I'm getting my singing voice back. Ask Bluedad. I couldn't sing a lick on the way back Sunday, and could barely talk.

Rebecca, where did you find your camera?

i miss all of you SO MUCH and all the photos and videos that are being posted are SO wonderful! KEEP IT UP! I'll get mine up there as I edit them!
Dave, the dust has a lot to do with it, but I am afraid that I was also doing a FAIR bit of hooting and hollering too!

Today is the first day I'm feeling back to normal Still tired but happy, smiling and wishing we were all still together! Ecosense - hope you're feeling better soon... Midnight_Waffle ended up sick too. As soon as you get back from your Bee/River trip this weekend, I'll come out, spend the day and help you sort through all that stuff so you can have your living room, kitchen and laundry room back in shape. Sunday?

Susie and I never got hoarse. Tired yes. I have a blister on my heel too. It truly was an experience that you will always remember. I have been sharing all the stories with some close friends and they all seem amazed and could tell it was a blast. Most have told me to let them know so they may come with us next time. Funny how it all stays on your mind................

Bret and Jay still out on the road..................

I just got off the phone with Jay. He and Bret are still on the road. After Wanee on Sunday they left for 3 more Mule shows. First was Raleigh, then Knoxville and Richmond, In Raleigh the Mule played outdoors. Carl Denson guested with the Mule. The Greyboy Allstars also played Raleigh. Jay and Brett attended that show too at the Lincoln Theater. Warren appeared with them. Played Taxman. They also indicated they heard a few new songs from the Mule.........

These guys have not been home "yet" since Wanee. Talk about some road dawgs............currently they are in Chapel Hill heading home. I had called them to see if they were going to attend the PBS and Quark Alliance shows in Charlotte this weekend. They responded, that they are not done yet and will be at both shows...........

We will see them at both...

Always sad leaving Wanee. I'm just now getting so I don't feel the bracelet on my wrist anymore.

On a positive note, I find myself treating folks at work (and in general) very nicely and shockingly...get good vibes and a smile back.

And...I've managed to stay out of the Whipping Post so far....

Good times, good times.....

The hoarseness, soreness and tiredness are all gone but I'm still in a WANEE STATE OF MIND! Reliving it through all the pictures and the taped shows. Thank God for the tapers!!!

Soreness and tiredness....so I'm not the only one....

If I let my daughter drive the whole day, we would stand at the same spot in front of the stage all day - in fact we have done that in past Wanee years.
Kills my ancient old legs and feet - although when the music is great I start forgetting about the old body parts of mine...

Yuk indeed, Linnie! You need to get some calendula lotion or gel or plantain (the calendula also works well on sunburned skin). Good luck and don't scratch it!

Bad thing is I have to go back to work this weekend! Outstanding Mule shows everywhere we went. Raleigh was special getting Jamie Mclean for opening act(unexpected), Karl Denson playing with Mule on Falling Down, Blind Man in the Dark, and Devil likes it slow, Robert Walter and Jamie Mclean guesting on That's What Love Will Make You Do, all of this outside on a closed off street, then going in the Lincoln for Greyboy All-Stars and Warren playing with them on 4 songs . What a great week of music this has been, only one night without it!
