I witnessed something Friday night that you would not believe. JB was rolling along doing his git fiddle Texas swing when the security told me they have to shut this thing down at 2:00 am on my way back to my RV to make a drink.

2:09 "Ladies and gentlemen Warren Haynes" said Junior!!!!!

Junior went off!!! I mean off. Warren would come back.,Junior would melt your face.
Warren would try to keep up..........back and forth.......back and forth. Every person up front was stunned!

3:02 it ended. Wow!!! The most magical moment for me ever at SMP. I walked by security on the way up the hill and said 2:00 hell!!!

The Belly dancers at the drum circle after was close..

What an event!

More importantly, where there any tapers? Sounds like a show I'd want to hear.

Now we're talking. Cool. Junior's a crackup and a good man.Idoubtnthey jammed on "JoeThe Singing Janitor,'but probably on one of Junior's blues numbers. If it was one of the chicken picking numbers, let us know. Man, let's hope there is some audio.

I heard it from a distance...those jams floating down through the pine trees and moonlight have a special sound.

I split before Warren, but I got pics of Junior and his band. You could tote Junior's whole band's gear in the back seat of a VW. I kid you not. Be back later with pics.

P.S. PaulR did a lot of taping this weekend and I think he got Junior's set. We'll check with him and see....

Yeah, those were a handful of decent shots I got. A lot of them didn't come out as well.

Pretty close to 15-20 years ago, my friend Mikal played "highway patrol" for me, I knew right then that this guy had the goods.

My first time seeing him and I was up close. One of the performers I had to see....

Junior Brown is a monster player.... I was amazed.....

Left before Warren came out though....

I caught Junior a few songs before Warren came out. Seen him before. The man is an American treasure!

Too bad Farmer wasn't there to straighten out Warren's equipment problems. It seemed like Warren was as amazed as the rest of us in the crowd watching Junior play. I'm sure Warren felt fortunate to be able to share the stage with him.

Was Junior's band a trio? Every time that I've seen him there was a woman in the band. It's always GOOD, though!

Hey Dave! All that gear in the back of a "bug"? I'm sure someone your size good cram that SVT rig in there!
