I will get the Van Morrison release. The samples from his website sound great, typical Van.

I really don't follow the Billboard charts as most the artists I listen to are on independent labels that don't get anywhere near the Billboard charts in terms of sales needs. But looking at the list, if I was to pick up any from the this top ten, it would be ones by George Strait and Van Morrison. REM and Counting Crows maybe if I heard these CDs first.

You know it does not bother me whatsover what the mass public wants to listen to.

If they enjoy it, why question it. Who in the hell are we to judge everyone elses taste in music.

American Idol makes a lot of folks happy, so what.

I'm glad everyone is not a fan of the music we like. It keeps it from getting butchered on the radio and shoved down my throat every where else.

Some folks think they are the "only one's with musical taste....thats the f*cking idiots in my book.

A very large mass of the Black(and White) population loves Hip Hop and Hip Hop related music. So f*cking what, I got my own sounds to listen to, I have Napster...I have Pandora to create my own radio stations, I own a sh*t load of CD's and Cassettes.

Let the masses have what they want...Geezus.

No one has ever forced me to listen to anything I did not want to hear and if they did...it's not going to ruin my day.

I played it on Napster, did not really get my attention...but I have been on a metal kick lately.

I have #2 R.E.M. Accelerate. Best record they've done in years. A welcome addition to my collection.

I'll be picking up #10 from Van the Man as well. However. I'm ordering a copy of his classic live one It's Too Late to Stop Now from Amazon first. Too long since I've heard that one.

I am a BIG George Strait fan and Troubadour is the best cd in his fantastic career. Buy it for the song House of Cash. The production on the whole album is stellar. I'd just wish he would play NYC but being there's no country radio station on the airwaves in NY(AM or FM) not satelite,he won't set foot here. The beacon has May open maybe he'll change his mind.

i had to go to #98 - The Black Crowes, Warpaint to find one for me. It was good to see the Black Keys at #14. Allthough I don't own it, yet.
