That's also your head sticking up over the monitor on the first video- like the Santana song: you're so smooth.

"A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall" and "Stairway to Heaven" mixed with Miles Davis. Amazing.

This was the high point of the evening for me. Once I spotted Derek's Super Reverb still on the stage with Carlos' setup I kept waiting for Derek to show up.

We were watching the amps also...the two power lit indicators were on the entire time when they changed the stage over...we were all saying...Derek's amps are there...we know we will be seeing him again!

This was sick...thanks for taping and thanks for sharing.

Lonley fire? I don't know if that was the tune. I did hear In A Silent Way off of In A Silent Way as an intro.

Where was the Stairway quote too? Am I missing these things?

Edit: Nevermind, I guess that second clip is Lonely Fire. A Santana-stretch there but I guess I hear the changes.

Ok, this is giving me rushes and all I've done is a couple of aspirins and a little ice tea! Can't wait for my show in 2 weeks!!! This is a pairing that I've thought of since first time I heard Derek play. Thanks so much RossMan for sharing the videos!

Thank you so much for sharing. It's true, each night they just keep getting better and better. A dream come true to experience this live.

I was so inspired after this I decided to go to the Albany show tomorrow night. Amazingly, when I got tickets, they ended up being 5th row center!! Go figure, one day before the show! I guess it was meant to be . . .

Thanks for those videos. Derek and Carlos pickin' on Dylan, harmonic convergence indeed!
I have not seen Carlos since 95, or whatever the year was he toured w/ Jeff Beck. Glad to see he's still got it! The percussion on that 2d video was unreal. You could say I'm ready!

Just awesome!!!! It was also my favorite part of the show both at Mohegan Sun and MSG!!! I'm sure Derek along with his bandmates have picked up quite a few new fans playing this tour.

Droog, do not miss this tour. It would be a huge mistake not to go if you have the chance. If you are into Santana, and I know you recently posted that you were on a Santana binge this tour will blow you away.

I was there last night and I must say that derek was awesome as the opening band...just fantastic and the interactions with santana were awe inspiring...some of the best guitar i have heard..at least since warren and herring the other night!..all kidding aside,it was truly fantastic...santana on his own was a bit uneven...he played a lot of stuff that seemed like throwaway music and he also played some great stuff from the early albums that were inspired....when he wants to play guitar like he did on the early albums santana is one of the greats...when he plays some of the recent stuff in my opinion it is only fair

DTB played about 50 minutes, Derek was on for three songs.

As the camera pans towards the left of the stage, you will see two tall guys at the front of the crowd, and a smaller person between them- that was Susan watching her hubby!!

You'll have a blast, and maybe a chance of some other DTB members sitting in with Santana
