Hey there sweet family,

I've a message from Gregory to share with you:

This is Gregg Allman. I just want to let everyone know that all my brothers in the band will be performing in The Wanee Family Jam. As you may know, this festival is our baby and I hope you will all come out to support it as you have in the past. Its the best lineup weve ever had! I'm looking forward to seeing you at Wanee again next year.

Take care and know that you are loved,

Lana

Can't help but think a bit of Matt Baranti, Goldtop, Lefty, Brent, Leah's Chuck, Alec.....
People who have been out there a long time, keeping the music alive, speading it far and wide. Maybe just a little bone, guys....some rhythm guitar, maybe background vocals.
True family.

Lana,

Tell Gregg we're there in support of him, the band, and everything that brought us together in the first place....the love of good music. We'll see him when he's better, but him saying "see you next year," gives us hope for Wanee 2009.

TerriB, I'm trying not to be sad today cause my buddies Helen and company went out to the park without me. My better half has to go out of town for 3 days so I have to stay home and ride herd on 2 teenagers til Friday morning. I'll be out there ASAP friday morning and I hope it won't be too crowded already!

How about a "Mountain Jam" with Robert Walter on organ, Karl D on sax, and maybe even Bobby Weir on a third guitar?????

I like the way you think Debo!

How about Gilded Splinters with Papa Mali on slide? He does a great version.

Or tape it to the stage on top of whatever he may have happened to tape there . . .

What a fantastic message. I really feel sincerity in his message, and its great how he contacted the fans. I'm to that point where I have to stay very occupied or I start shaking a little bit with excitement because I can't wait. See you all soon!!!!

I hope PaulR plans to do dome serious taping. Need help toting equipment, Paul?
