I've had that happen to several of my DVD's. One day I went looking for them, and ...*poof*...they were gone.

This was not too long after after my ex-wife divorced out of our marriage.

Uhhhh...no.

I have always suspected that maybe one of my kids' friends, or perhaps our "house cleaner," who is one of my wife's friends from HS who cleans for us a couple times a month (when she shows up,) and has had a hard row to hoe since she got divorced many years ago. My copy of "Legends of the Fall" also disappeared.

"Almost Famous" must be high on the hit list, because the same thing happened here. Along with my copy of "Rising Low." Both of those just went "poof"

Watched it once, made me sick at my stomach. Not entertaining at all. Real life. I can see that stuff every weekend, or the aftermath. Watched the first part last night, where Stillwater gets the kid in, enjoyed Yes in the background. Then the speed freak starts his rant. Been on both ends of that conversation too many times, started getting sick, went to bed. Matter of taste and life experiences, I guess.

Are there "definitive" ideas or thoughts about just ..who is who in this movie?

I had heard from friends and such that the guitar player was supposed to be...

and that this guy was really....

My bad I thought it was a chicky flick with Brad Pitt topless in a lake. And I love Westerns

Well Brad Pitt is in it, and he is shirtless in parts of it, but it's certainly no chick flick. LOL

I like Almost Famous - started watching it last night but I'm a wuss and had to turn it off because I was falling asleep. To me this movie is filled with lot's of bittersweet lifes moments for the Penny Lane and Cameron Crowe characters.

Love Legends of the Fall! Great epic tale and the scenery, camera work, story are lovely.

This thread is funny.

Could be a trivia question..."what do the movies Legends of the Fall and Almost Famous have in common?"

Answer: "nothing, absolutely nothing, but they both did disappear from Big Dave's house...coincidence? We think not."
