I can't recall ever hearing any music in an elevator other than a chime when an elevator stopped at a floor...but my tops would be

Girl From Iponema
Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White

and some song where the vocals are nothing but..

The Ray Coniff Orchestra plays the Beatles Greatest Hits.
I mean, I even go past my floor during an intense violin solo!

I can both top what you offered, and bring the Beatles and "Girl From Ipanema" together in one amazing package- the sounds of Mrs. Miller. She is an elevator music legend.

Mrs. Miller can sure hold a microphone, ay guys??

Mrs. Miller auditioning for Wilt Chamberlain.

Here is the imminently talented Mrs. Miller singing "The Girl From Ipanema,"

And Mrs. Miller singing the Beatles' "A Hard Day's Night,"

A close second would be a group from the late 1960's that Frank Zappa hailed at the time as "Better than the Beatles -- even today," a band known as The Shaggs. Bonnie Riatt says, "The Shaggs are like castaways on their own musical island," and Carla Bley says about the group, "They bring my mind to a complete halt."

Here are the Shaggs playing their classic tune, "What Are Parents,"

And their wonderful number, "Things I Wonder,"

I've heard a " Blue Sky " which sounded like it was the Ray Conniff singers or some vocal group. This it ? Must be some big royalties for Dickey !

LOL!!! Hmmm - got me wondering ... wonder what's in those brownies on her 'Does Her Thing' album and is she any relation to Mitch Miller (who I'm sure I've heard in a few elevators over the years)

Have not seen it in a while. Problem is with the divorce I have to ask permission when I drop the kids off tonight to go and get my record collection.
