THE BOOK OF BERT is now available at Barnes & Noble and Amazon.com! If you didn't get a chance to pre-order the guide to celebrity mustaches, written by Jon Chattman & Rich Tarantino and illustrated by myself, you can pick it up when it is released April 1. So go buy, like, three of them already for those special mustachioed somebodies in your life!

Book Description
Behind every great man, there's a great mustache. In The Book of 'Bert': High-Class Stars with Some High Class 'Stache, authors Jon Chattman, pop culture expert and founder of thecheappop.com, along with fellow mustache aficionado Rich Tarantino, drill that message home with a hilarious romp through mustache history. This fascinating compendium of men who have worn their 'staches like honorary badges features 25 well-known personalities (from Albert Einstein to Juan Valdez) and their infamous facial hair along with a detailed analysis of the 'stache and its numerical rank on the "Bertometer." The authors also serve up best of 'bert' lists, intriguing trivia, and other insight to further the fuzzy fad along. Mustaches are clearly re-establishing themselves in the mainstream. Witness Borat (Sacha Baron Cohen), Earl Hickey (Jason Lee) of My Name Is Earl, Tobias Funke (David Cross) of Arrested Development, Lieutenant Jim Dangle (Thomas Lennon) of Reno 911!, or even Josh Brolin's Llewelyn Moss of No Country For Old Men. It's not just Burt Reynolds or Tom Selleck anymore. There's a whole new generation of facial-hair sporting stars. With that said, it's clear there's never been a better time for a book on 'berts'. Join the authors as they take you on a magical moustache ride you'll never forget.

I am with Dan on this one! I would love to buy a copy from you, and not one of these big book dealers. I want you to get all of the proceeds!

Pencil Thin Mustache

Now they make new movies in old black and white
With happy endings, where nobody fights
So if you find yourself in that nostalgic rage
Honey, jump right up and show your age

Chorus:
I wish I had a pencil thin mustache
The "Boston Blackie" kind
A two toned Ricky Ricardo jacket
And an autographed picture of Andy Devine

I remember bein' buck-toothed and skinny
Writin' fan letters to "Sky King" and Penny
Oh I wish I had a pencil thin mustache
Then I could solve some mysteries too

Then it's Bandstand, Disneyland, growin' up fast
Drinkin' on a fake I.D.
Yeah, and Rama of the jungle was everyone's Bawana
But only jazz musicians were smokin' marijuana
Yeah, I wish I had a pencil thin mustache
Then I could solve some mysteries too

Then it's flat top, dirty bob, coppin' a feel
Grubbin' on the livin' room floor (so sore)
Yeah, they send you off to college, try to gain a little knowledge,
But all you want to do is learn how to score

Yeah, but now I'm gettin' old, don't wear underwear
I don't go to church and I don't cut my hair
But I can go to movies and see it all there
Just the way that it used to be

Chorus:
That's why I wish I had a pencil thin mustache
The "Boston Blackie" kind
A two-toned Ricky Ricardo jacket
And an autographed picture of Andy Devine

Oh, I could be anyone I wanted to be
Maybe suave Errol Flynn or the Sheik of Araby
If I only had a pencil thin mustache
Then I could do some cruisin' too

Coda:
Yeah, Bryl-cream, a little dab'll do yah
Oh, I could do some cruisin' too

Hey y'all, glad ya dig the work! I'm not sure how signed copies are going to work, I haven't even seen a hard copy yet. There will probably be news of signings at http://www.myspace.com/thebookofbert or you can buy straight from the author's website http://thecheappop.com/, but I don't know if I will be in on any of them right now. Let you all know if I am, for sure.
