Dear Allman Brothers Band Ticketholder

We're sorry to inform you that the Allman Brothers Band performances scheduled for May 5 24, 2008 at the Beacon Theatre have been postponed.

For the past six months, founding member Gregg Allman has been receiving scheduled treatments for Hepatitis C, a virus that, with these treatments, has become curable in recent years. The treatments so far have been successful and the virus has been eradicated from his system. The recovery time has taken longer than originally anticipated and it was a group decision to postpone the Beacon Theatre shows.

The unparalleled loyalty of Allman Brothers Band fans has been well documented in the music industry for over 39 years the last 19 at The Beacon Theatre. The band is committed to giving 110% and wants to be sure that they are in top form before returning to The Beacon Theatre.

Live Nation and the Beacon Theatre are working to make sure that we find a solution to this road block and ensure that the music never stops. We are devoted to bring these amazing concerts to dedicated fans like you and thank you for your patience during this unforeseen and unfortunate delay.

Please hold onto your ticket until the rescheduled dates are announced. For further information, you may visit www.allmanbrothersband.com or www.BeaconTheatre.com for a complete press release and updates.

Sincerely,

Beacon Theatre

Does anyone know if you can get refunds on your tickets due to the date change. I am sure alot of us do not live in New York and the new dates might not fit in.

I suspect ticketmaster will refund all the tickets unless they just transplant the whole thing a couple of months into the summer or something.

More likely that it will screw the scalper's customers who may not be eligible for refunds if the show is rescheduled.

I wonder how they are handling the pre-sale. I have the tickets that I bought through the regular sale in hand but the pre sale tix have not been sent or charged.

I realize this is all "happening as we speak" but it is a question for alot of us.

I hope Gregg gets well soon and we are all able to enjoy the ABB live again.

Paul

Postponed is just that. As in the past, TM will give all the option of holding onto the original tix for the subsequent re-sked or a full refund once the new dates have been announced. My airline tix are good for a year with a small admin charge to change the flights and the hotel will have to be re-booked. All in all, based on the fact Greggs health is at stake, this a little inconvenience and nothing more!

so Far i got the room cancelled got $624 back another $99 in Amtrak got about 450 tied up in tickets yet. Seems the closest options are July or September for the Beacon. Steely Dan has 3 shows booked in the middle of June and the band is hopefully hitting the road in August who knows in another month that might get cancelled too.

TM will do refunds after the announced replacement dates.

But you will not get any of the "service" charges back.

I think they'll refund all fees. Last yr, I had to ask TM to cancel a Beacon order of mine, due to my own screwup on presale limits. Not only did they accomodate the cancellation, they refunded the convenience fees too. I did have to pay the order processing fee of $4. Here, it's totally on them, so I bet every penny will be refunded.

A lot could change in the 3 months before Bonnaroo. I expect we'll get an update when the festival gets closer.

Good luck to Gregg and I hope he feels better.

I don't care what they do with any shows as long as Gregg takes care of himself. It's the only thing that matters.

I do hope TM will allow people to get their money back if they are unsure about being able to attend at a later date. That woulld be the right thing to do. Also I do hope they allow us to keep the tickets if we feel we can make the commitment at the later time frame.

You'd think all these folks that call themselves fans, would be more interested in Gregg getting treatments and getting better as am I, but we see that ticketmaster-scalpers- & money are the main issues from some folks.

If that was directed at me,I hope you'll reread the 1st part of that sentence.

Yeah, damn you selfish people, your curiousity about concert tickets that you spent hard-earned money on is an obvious indication of your lack of caring for Gregg Allman's health. You should all be ashamed of yourselves!

Yeah I hear you on that Derek!! I don't see spending all the money we do on a band as selfish. Gregg's health is the bigger picture however. But in my opinion, nothing should of been booked this year knowing Gregg was going to be going through treatment for Hep C with likely chances to have side-effects. That's the most important thing, that is not fair at all. And I contacted the park, and they said tickets will be refunded but not service charges? What the hell is that?
