I sure hope they add a NJ show.
I have heard nightmare stories about Jones Beach ( and its a PITA for me to get to)
And I dont think much of Penns Landing in Philly

I'm with you on Jones Beach, Chuck. I had to take my daughter to Hofstra a couple of time a year. It's a PITA for everyone to get there. Not a big fan of Penns Landing either. I think I'll try Jim Thorpe. It's only 80 miles away. Anyone been there? I'm praying it's not another Mountain Laurel.

Levon opening. Hard to resist.

Penn's Peak is an awesome Venue. It's indoors, small/intimate. It's basically a big-a$$ log cabin. Cheap beer. I've seen GA&F there a few times as well as Ratdog & DSO. DB & GS played there a few years back too. It's about 15 minutes off the Jim Thorpe Exit of the PA NE Extension.....They're currently renovating so maybe they're adding an outdoor stage but I doubt it. I haven't been to MT Laurel Cntr so I can compare but I haven't had any major traffic issues like what I read about w/last year's show. Who knows what Phil will bring though!

PP has a website too - they get some good shows.....

Great tour. Good luck to Phil and Levon. Both bands are rocking these days that is for sure.

I was a little sorry to see the venues as I won't be going to any of them (too big), but I do hope to catch Phil at the Vibes and I look forward to seeing Levon at Wanee.

Nice to see the dates- would love to get to Rochester on a beautifl sunny July Saturday...however the current remodeling of our kitchen has forced me to pass on what would have been a musical Spring & Summer for the ages...
Passing on a Saturday @ the Beacon that would have been my 40th B-Day (although that looks to be postponed now) this year as well another glorious 3 days (rain or shine) in the mountains of Hunter.
Now Phil has the audacity to schedule a Saturday show near me...oh the humanity!

I absolutely love the current PL&F line-up. Jackie (in my opinion) is so fresh and along w/ Larry Campbell, really makes a "band" out of the group. In my humble opinion, the other line-ups (w/ Warren, Jimmy H., S. Kimock, Chris Robinson etc...) albeit very good, never seemed to find a common goal. I certainly did not dislike the other line-ups my any means- I'm just really digging this incarnation.

Magnitudes of thanks to them for the wonderful soundboards released to all of us back in November of '07 on the archive. Very much looking forward to the summer sounds of '08.

Definately should have waitied a year to remodel the kitchen.

(by the way Ang- closing in on World Class Peach- congrats in advance!)

Cool!!! I'm definetly doing Jones Beach and Gathering of the vibes in Bridgeport. I was hoping for another one closer in New Jersey or upstate but I guess I'll have to settle on two shows.

Its at Penns Landing not Penns Peak.
Penns Landing is just a big parking lot that they converted to a venue.
