Hey there sweet family,

Today is the ABB's 39th anniversary. If you'd like to leave them a thumb's up, I'll make sure they receive it.

Take care and know that you are loved,

Lana

Happy 39th anniversary to The ABB. No other band, no other music has ever made me feel the way their music does. I am a humble fan who will always enjoy the music, the Brotherhood, and the whole experience.

Thank you to all members, past and present, here or gone, for making me happy.

Mitch

I reflect back on the incredible chain of events that brought those 6 men to be in that room at the same time.

It has made so much difference to so many.

Thanks guys.....happy birthday

Being hooked since 12/27/69, this is my 39th year with the band myself.
("with the band")...but that's how I feel, or all of us feel..like we are with the band in a sense. For a couple of years in the early 70's we basically toured with them...attending almost every show in the NY tri State area.
They are as familar to me , or as much a part of me as anything I can think of.
I've cried over the deaths of two men I never met, and still feel like I lost close friends.

It's a line used many times, but just to sum it up without laying all I feel out there in a post to bore you...Thanks for the memories.

Been a long time since I bought first and second albums on cassette at K Mart in 71. A long fine trip it's been.

Happy 39th ABB! I have been a fan since 1972 when I first heard you on the radio in Houston, Texas. Thanks for the vision, hard work and the melding of musical cultures that changed the world and made such a positive difference in so many lives.

I'm closing in on 60 as fast as a hellbound train. There haven't been many days siince May of '69 in Central City Park that this music hasn't warmed my soul or made me want to dance in my boogie shoes.

Thanks to all you cats for doing what you do. The road does seem to go on forever!

39 years.......Wow.

How did they isolate 3/26 as the date ? First jam , First show, recording. ?

I was at the 3/26/97 show. Jaimoe sauntered out to the mic when they took the stage and stated that it was the anniversary. It also happened to be the last night of the beacon run and Warren and Woody's last night ever (until 2001 for Warren of course) also. That wasn't known to the fans at the time. Listen to the tapes. Warren and Dickey are just going ballistic the entire night. One of my favorite shows from that era. Being at that show really got me back on the horse with the ABB.

I also remember 3/26 because it's an old girl friend's birthday. Happy B-day ABB. I hope she's miserable.
