last monday we went to an Andy Warhol exhibition that has been showing here. saw the original hand written lyrics to 'heroin' and a few other songs. love the velvet underground stuff, rock & roll animal and transformer are classics.

I had tickets to see him in a cool outdoor small ampitheater in the flats area of Cleveland, years ago. We were standing outside the venue waiting around, when a roadie appeared over a fence and proclaimed that Lou had just broken his leg while doing the soundcheck and the show was cancelled.......

I think that was my one and only chance.

Love his music - Velvet Underground and solo. The Velvet Underground reunion DVD is very good, and the 1969 album is great. Rock n Roll Animal is a classic. I also loved New York - listened to that one alot.

I have seen Lou at least 5 times, and he always sounds great live......

Iíve seen Lou maybe 3 or 4 times from mid 80ís to late 90ís.

I also am more a fan of his earlier stuff.

Not that any of the shows were bad, but none have the fire and edge of his earlier stuff (surprise) and he has gotten mellower and shakier with age (surprise again).

Not a knock against Lou, just giving my personal impression.

Having said all that, if I didnít have baby at home and therefore extremely limited concert opportunities, Iíd go see him again.

Heís an icon IMO.

Love Lou Reed. Saw him in concert back in 1972 and he put on an excellent show. Haven't seen him recently.

I love Rock & Roll Animal and that era. His best in my opinion but I think the difference was the band and not Lou.

Saw him twice and was disappointed both times. Very short and boring both times.
