Well, I admit that list has me scratching my head a bit, but hey, some may wonder how I can switch from Metallica to Coltrane to Four Non-Blondes to Arrested Development on a given day.

Droog, that is what makes music so special. Once we open our minds to it we never know what we're gonna let in and what's gonna really stick. I was a close minded, nothing but Metal kind of person in high school. As soon as I started opening my mind to different types of music I realized how much I was missing.

Back in the day I wouldn't have given someone like Michael Hedges a first listen much less a second one and that is a shame. I know some of my friends from high school are still just as stuborn about music as they were back then. Poor them. If I had stayed the same I would have missed out on tons of great music.

Lately I've been getting into The John Butler Trio. That guy can really play guitar.

C'mon folks, make a decision and keep it to 5.

My top 3 don't change, but rotate - ABB, The Who, Elvis Costello.

After much deliberation, I decided on the other two by thinking who I really couldn't live without if I had to sell all my CD's apart from the top 5 - and that is

Tchaikovsky and Dwight Yoakam.
