What's everybody most hated artist or song?

The song or artist that comes on the radio or TV that sparks intense
feelings of "Christ almighty God! I can't f'g stand this!!!"

Not looking for a list, just the big ONE.

Mine is, without a doubt, Billy Joel.

Cannot stand him anymore and we'll leap across rooms in a single
bound to remove his sounds from eardrums.

Boston. Just when I'd forgotten about them, classic rock radio dredges them up again.

Any of the "soft rock, for chicks only" artist. Think Neil Diamond, Michael Bolton, Celine Dion, Phil Collins, Barry Manilow, Kenny G ect. Once I worked in an office, and one my female co-workers used to play that 'crap" all day long. Talk about being in a "music hell", thank goodness I didn't have a pistol with me, or no doubt on many occasions I would have had an "Elvis moment".

"What If"
Artist(Band):Creed

I can't find the rhyme in all my reason
I've lost sense of time and all seasons
I feel I've been beaten down
By the words of men who have no grounds
I can't sleep beneath the trees of wisdom
When your axe has cut the roots that feed them
Forked tongues in bitter mouths
Can drive a man to bleed from inside out

What if you did?
What if you lied?
What if I avenge?
What if eye for an eye?

I've seen the wicked fruit of your vine
Destroy the man who lacks a strong mind
Human pride sings a vengeful song,
Inspired by the times you've been walked on
My stage is shared by many millions
Who lift their hands up high because they feel this
We are one We are strong
The more you hold us down the more we press on

What if you did?
What if you lied?
What if I avenge?
What if eye for an eye?

I know I can't hold the hate inside my mind
What consumes your thoughts controls your life
So I'll just ask a question
A lonely, simple question
I'll just ask one question

What if
What if
What if
What if
What if
I? ( Repeat 4 times)

What if you did?
What if you lied?
What if I avenge?
What if eye for an eye?
What if your words could be judged like a crime?

What if
What if
What if
What if
What if
I? ( Repeat 4 times)

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT IF I FREAKING SHOT YOU?!?

Kid Rock...That guy stepped in the biggest pile of crap and has been sliding around in it for the past few years. He must go to bed at night wondering just how exactly did he become famous being a such a huge pompous ass with so little talent. A perfect exapmle of how ANYONE can make it in the Pop-music industry if you are in the right place at the right time. AND, The worst part about it is, Dickey is touring with him!

Hey, you asked. LOL!

I know it's an arguement of semantics, but wouldn't the title of "artist" by definition eliminate Candlemass? Just wondering.

Phil Collins. Man, I really hate giving any musician a bad rap or anything. This guy is a willing victim of over-commercializatioin and over-exposure. If I were on an airplane and thy piped in some Phil or Genesis ... I just hope they have parachutes.

ANY of the "Britneys" and the choreographed "boy-band" acts. If we really want to find Osamma, cancel the water boarding and put the terrorists on a diet of this shat. They'll be dropping a dime on his @ss in a heartbeat.

Oh yeah, must not forget him. Perfect example of how one artist can ruin country music. It's amazing the number of Garth wannabees that have come after him (Kenny Chesney, prime example).

I know some folks like this music and don't want to step on any toes but:

Dire Straits
Journey
Springsteen
New Country Music, not old C&W.

'
My reasons, I blame radio for playing their songs over and over and over. I use to love Dire Straits until radio overplayed them.

I've liked a few of the singers that have come through that show. For instance, the two females that were in the final four last year were both very good. The style of music they'll probably perform for most of their careers isn't likely to interest me, but when they sang an old R&B or soul number, it was often quite good.

And, I hope somebody makes an "Aretha" movie just so I can see/hear Jennifer Hudson sing all of those great old tunes (and buy the soundtrack ).

I confess to liking Night Ranger's "Sister Christian" quite a bit.

Here's my pick: John Hammond
