Wondering if anyone can help me out. I got a bunch of discs but the shows are one big file so I need to edit and seperate the tracks. Since I got a new computer I no longer have the same program that I knew how to use. My computer came with Nero Express and I can't seem to find if I can do it with that.

Also I believe that I can use EAC for that but not too sure how.

Would appreciate any help figuring this out. Any advice?

Would love to share but want to make sure it is done properly and that I don't end up with gaps. (TAO)

Is there a better community out there with nicer people? No.

Thanks

Thanks Masahiko. I can always use all the help I can get. But it is not FLAC that I am dealing with. Just huge audio files. The sound is great on most things but I wanted to edit the tracks so I can share. Appreciate the FLAC help also though. Our buddy Billy Kain has already walked me through that but I still get lost at times. Always good to have friends to help.

TheyCameToBoston gave me excellent step by step advice. He should be teaching a course.

I'm sorry of my lack of explanation.

Following is my post on that thread. I should did from first....

2. If the show (1 flac file) converts to one big wav file, how do I split it up into separate tracks?

Hi Neil,

I heard that EAC can do it but it's sorry that I'm a Mac user and didn'tuse EAC ever.
I always split big file to each track using Audacity, free wave editor.
You can download this program's latest version (1.2.6) freely from following link.

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

To split file,

1. open the file from "File" menu.
2. put cursor to start point of the file ( click "|<<" button on the window ) and add label track by "project" > "Add Label At Selection"
3. edit track name
4. put cursor to start of next tune and do as same as above.
5. repeat it along whole tracks
6. click "File" > "Export Multiples" and program exports all the tracks as each files.

I hope this will be a little help to you.

Masahiko no need to apologize at all. First because you are helping me my friend and second because you are correct and I did not read fully.

Thanks so much for the support.
