I've never seen any of that footage, thanks. Come and go blues was great... so was the Joe Montana jersey in the back ground.

I remember watching this show. The Joe Montana jersey thing was actually a comedy sketch. The Host for that episode was Joe Montenga. I believe he had just done a movie where he was a mafia boss of sorts. The sketch centered around the Kid in the Montana jersey and his father. Seems the father had brought the kid to SNL to see his idol Joe Montana only to find out it was Joe Montenga. So Montenga calls the kid over puts his arm around him and out of earshot of the dad, offers to "Take care of the Dad"...for dissapointing him... Pretty funny.

Wasn't the last song the band played on this show Leaving? Which they did because they split up after the show.

Very nice........I enjoyed that. Not known as one of the better incarnations of ABB, but regardless, the band was sounding damn fine here.

The host for this SNL episode was a guy who did one of the EverReady battrey commercials...battery on his shoulder and he says " Go ahead, knock it off ."

I was happy as a pig in **** to see them on SNL keytar or not.

[Edited on 3/13/2008 by Smattermonnat]

I didn't get into the Black Sheep Squadron that much...I was more of the timeframe of his role as James West on the "Wild Wild West" and before that, Tom Lopaka on "Hawaiian Eye" (with the ever gorgeous Connie Stevens as Cricket Blake). Robert Conrad always seemed to come up with great shows to follow the ones that ran their course.

Thanks for posting the ABB clips from '82...I don't think I've ever seen that incarnation play (on TV that is...I know I didn't get to see them live...I was out of the country during that time touring with my own band...by the time we got back, the ABB had gone on hiatus again)

Never saw this before, thanks for posting. A question for any gear heads who might be lurking..What kind of guitar was Dickey playing during Midnight Rider? I think it's the same one he plays in the hotel room on Brothers of The Road.

Going by the headstock and double cutaway - it looks like an Ibanez of some sort to me.
