It looks like ABB and Ratdog are joining forces again this summer, at least for one show so far. livenation.com has them listed as a co-bill for 8/23 in Camden.

The ABB and Ratdog had a good run last summer, guess they figured it would be good to do it again.

Not only does it look like a lineup repeat (please no Keller Williams this time),
but probably the same tour as well.

Mule and Derek are busy through July. Leaves August/Sept open for another
East Coast tour unfortunately.

Then next year we get a 40th year anniversary Farewell tour across the U.S.

I was hoping for an ABB/Phil&Friends pairing as had been rumoured. Oh well, looks like I'm stuck seeing Ratdog twice now this summer. As long as the Brothers are doing two hours I could really care less. These are cheap nosebleed seats for me anyway in the summer.

The Camden Show listed, says doors open at 5pm and Ratdog going on at 6pm.
If the ABB go past 11pm like the last time, could be a nice long show.

I could have done without Ratdog again.

They didn't make the ABB step it up a notch like moe. did.

As much as I don't mind Ratdog, seeing them possibly 3X this summer will be a little much.
So far I will see them with ABB at Wanee & Mountain Jam. Hopefully, someone else will play with them at Darien Lake this summer.

I can't say I'm surprised to see some people complaining about the Ratdog pairing, seeing as there was plenty of that last summer, but I want to chime in and stick up for that combo.

By any standards, whether it be quality of music, interaction between the bands, or size and enthusiasm of the crowds, the ABB/Ratdog tour last year was the most successful ABB tour of recent years. When something is successful, you do it again.

Everybody has a right to their opinion, and I'm genuinely sorry if this combo doesn't float your boat, but I am looking forward to it!

As usual I agree with Rob - 99% of the time we seem to share the same views . The Ratdog / ABB pairing was very successful on many levels - ticket sales were very good and the band interaction was cool as hell as Rob mentioned. The guys in both bands were obviously VERY into it. I am just glad the Skynyrd pairing is a thing of the past, that was one double-bill I just could not get into one bit and there was virtually no interaction between the bands at all which was strange when you think about it. To be honest, I think its pretty much the same with any band that opens or shares a bill with The ABB, not everyone will like it. People are tough to please, what can you do. I was hoping for Phil's band to be involved during one leg of the tour, maybe that will still happen. Phil, Bob, ABB - its all good in my book.

Really sorry to see as Ratdog just leaves me cold. I loved the Dead but really was always a Jerry fan. I saw Ratdog once or twice, heard the tapes, and while i can't deny the musicianship, I just don't enjoy Weir for an entire show. Would have rather seen Phil and Friends but I also understand that the billing with Ratdog allows them to sell tickets.

I absolutely hate Keller Williams and pray that he is not on their shows. Let each band perform for two hours.

i like the pairing on many levels. Rob mentioned many of them. Just to
mention something i wrote last year, people were on their feet at Nissan
after the third song. in terms of a comparison with almost anyone else who
has opened for the ABB, there is none. Bob Weir was there when "it" all
began. he is still into it, enjoying himself, has a stellar band, takes chances on
stage and plays a variety of material. whats not to like? i'm not a bob weir
promoter, i just like the pairing. oh yea, it does sell tickets and that is good
for all of us.

Yeah I agree.I could do without any Grateful Dead incarnation or offshoot band. Hopefully the ABB will get top billing and headline. I'll have to wait out the noodling then go in.

Now, I'll enjoy the 5/10 Beacon show a little more knowing I'll get to see them for a few hours more at Camden - where it's always a good show. Listening to Black Hearted Woman from 8/17 last year right now. Ratdog was good last year too (was hoping for PL&F though). If they're not your thing, it just leaves more party time by the river. Ticket sale date?

I see tix are onsale 3-15. Isn't that awfully early for a late Aug show? I hope Ratdog does not play Atlanta (though I'm forever a Deadhead), and hopefully whenever it is, it'll be at Verizon in Alpharetta.

I'm with ya there.

Also let's get a State Fair show with maybe Grace Potter opening.

Sorry Rob, but I'd rather not see Ratdog again.

Too many "Jerry Songs" sung by a guy whose voice shouldn't go near them.

Hearing Bob do Touch Of Gray and Sugaree was bad enough.

I will throw up on the spot if he tries to do "Must Have Been the Roses"
