Say what you want about Patrick as a movie star, but Roadhouse did it for me. He's bad ass, and I hope he kicks some ass on this cancer, too.

i saw this tonight on tv & was so shocked & very saddened...they were saying he may only have 5 weeks to live...i hope that's not true. he is a talented actor who has made some great, classic flicks...ghost, black dog & dirty dancing just to name 3 of the best!

Prayers go out for Patrick for sure. I did like Roadhouse, but TNT playing it 5000 times just killed it for me. He is surely a talented guy. I will never forget the SNL skit with Patrick and Chris Farley trying out to be Chippendale dancers. Priceless. I wish him the best, it is the toughest of all cancers. Cancer sucks!!If anyone can ride it out and live through it, it is Patrick Swayze.

I was a sophomore in high school when that came out. We read most of S.E. Hinton's books freshmen and sophomore year. That was "our" movie.

Look at this cast:

Matt Dillon ... Dallas 'Dally' Winston
Ralph Macchio ... Johnny Cade
C. Thomas Howell ... Ponyboy Curtis
Patrick Swayze ... Darrel 'Darry' Curtis
Rob Lowe ... Sodapop Curtis
Emilio Estevez ... Keith 'Two-Bit' Mathews
Tom Cruise ... Steve Randle

Talk about a star-maker . . .

Anyway, I hope Patrick pulls through o.k.

I can't hear to much more of this kind of news either. That's a nasty cancer with a poor prognosis and short life line. The news on MSNBC tonight said Patricks cancer was minimal and that they feel they got it all. The tabloid news though is saying it's very bad and he has 5 weeks to live. That would be about right if there is alot of the cancer. Pancreatic CA is not usually primary though. It more than half the time comes from lung. I pray his outcome is the one where they feel they got it all. Prayers to Patrick and Lisa. and to whoever brought up the SNL skit with Farley and Swayze as the Chippendales, you have me laughing my butt off. Great skit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know, i have the best of Chris Farley in SNL. I'll look to see if ithe Chip skit is on there. But then how would I get it to here? It is on a CD.
Just a funny , the best of Eddie Murphy on SNL is one of the funniest films I have ever seen. Serious, serious belly laughing, where your begging to whose making you laugh to please stop before you pee your pants. i'll check on the CD in the AM. Thanks for looking for it on the net.

If there is a chance of him beating it.....I sure hope he does.

Prayers for Patrick in his battle. The pictures I've seen of him remind me of a good friend I lost 3 years ago to the same disease, it was heartbreaking to see a 44 YO husband and dad waste away like that.

I am literally sick about this. I've always loved Patrick. He has always been a gentleman and a stand up guy. Dirty Dancing and Ghost are two of my alltime favorite movies - sending love and prayers his way to beat this.

Actor's Physician Dismisses Reports Portraying Him in Grave Condition

The 55-year-old performer was working during his treatments, publicist Annett Wolf said, dismissing reports in the tabloid media that portrayed him in grave condition with only weeks to live.

Wolf issued a written statement from his physician, Dr. George Fisher, that said: "Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment."

"All of the reports stating the timeframe of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue," Fisher said in the statement. "We are considerably more optimistic."

Wolf said Swayze deeply appreciated the "outpouring of support and concern" he has received from the public.

Sad news. Both Fox and MSNBC were saying that patients usually pass away 3 months to 6 months after being diagnosed. Like greggsfan59 said earlier. Let's hope not

Wolverines!

Dalton!

How weird is that just a few days ago Jeff Healey passes away and Swayze, both in the movie Roadhouse.
