I'd recommend catching Ollabelle! I've seen them open for Levon twice w/in the past year and I'll be there in time to catch them open on Sat nite.

Enjoy the show Fri.

Peace!

I've got an extra single Orch Row F seat 110 for Friday night if anyone is interested. It's listed in the Spare Tickets section. I went to the Asbury show the other week and just loved it.

Me and my beautiful Chocolate Baby will be sitting Row F seats 104 and 103. I'm a big guy(not tall just wide) with glasses and probably wearing a Blue tie die 40th Anniversary Grateful Dead shirt. Please feel free to say hello. Either way enjoy this amazing show that we will soon be seeing. Also if it's not too late and you want to meet PM me with your cell#. I will be leaving Florida early in the morning so if I do not get your# late tonight or early tomorrow I will probably not get it. I can't wait until Levon and the gang get on that stage.

Wardrobe change........ I will be wearing a Red Jazzfest tank top with or without a denim shirt. (Depending on how hot the Beacon is. Plus I sweat alot)

I am going tonight. I would recommend seeing the opening act, they were great lat year at the Beacon when I saw them. We are in for a great night, I am pumped. Hoping for more guests like last year too...Alan Toussant, Warren Haynes, Garth Hudson, Doctor John, etc.

looking forward to this, have never seen Levon but the Band was about my second favorite group of all time-ABB is number 1. Lost count but probably saw the band at least 9 or 10 times and have everyone of their vinyls with Stagefright mounted on the wall of my family room. Loved Robby at the Crossroads festival DVD and hoping he begins to play a bit on the circuit or does some guesting. Am up in my usual Beacon spot in the front loge, everyone enjoy the evening

By all means, make sure you get there in time to hear Ollabelle. Unless she is unable to be part of it due to the recent birth of Levon's grandson, his daughter, Amy, who is one of the most wonderful and nicest and majorly talented people I have heard, is a member of Ollabelle. Their vocals and instrumentation are really cool - highly recommended!
I am as excited about seeing Levon at Wanee (if I am able to attend) than anything I have anticipated in a long, long time.
Can't wait to hear how his shows are at the Beacon!

having seen these guys(Levon & his ramble folk) a bunch--people will be emotionally & spiritually uplifted--for me these were the songs of my formative musical years & along with the ABB,each tune represents a smell,a person,a place...& the joy for Levon, knowing the depth of his struggles over the years...he is a righteous man & a gifted, multi talented musician with a band that is perfect

Great post Effie. Great description of how the songs affect you. I feel the same way about certain music. Now I'm really looking forward to my first encounter with Levon at Mountain Jam 4. You and your wife have a blast tomorrow night and thanks again for that awesome PM!!!
