That looks like an old trunk to me. It isn't a cabinet of any kind, that I can tell.

$15,000??? That's a lot of money - doesn't look like it was taken care of all these years and certaintly isn't "museum quality." Think someone will pay that much for it?

I saw Berry Oakley's son use his bass rig at the Great American Music Hall with Blue Floyd. They rolled out this huge anvil case...opened it up and it had 2 ampeg bass heads with matching cabinets one setup in each side of the case. BO Jr walked out a few minutes before Blue Floyd played with the "Tractor" or a replica and plugged it in to do a sound check and almost lifted the roof off the place but the note quality coming out of the those 2 Ampeg rigs was amazing... That case in the ebay ad is no where close enough to fit those 2 amps and cabinets

I believe it's just a trunk....a couple of heads might fit in it....It does have the road case latches. $15,000.......awful steep!

It's definitely not a case for an Ampeg bass rig. It's WAY too small. It might have been a case for a bass amplifier, but it's too small for a cabinet.

It's a shame there are no dimensions in the item description. I wonder if it's being sold by a family member? From the looks of it, it's been setting in the weather, which is unfortunate. $15,000 is extremely pricey. I bet it doesn't get any bids.

According to e-bay ... "This is museum quality, authenticated Allman Brothers memorabilia. It comes with a letter of authenticity signed by Berry Oakley's daughter and notarized."

But the seller is in FL and Ms. Oakley now resides in CA, as far as I know. It's obviously someone she knows.

No problem Pam. I'm always on the prowl on eBay and the Allman Brothers are like home base.
He/she might have gotten a decent offer and ended the auction early. eBay has gotten nuts recently with their rates. I know many who sell high priced items who are boycotting.
