Great view from one of the courtyards ( or whatever it is ) at work. Took out my Les Paul and battery VOX amp and played away and watched it happen. Great view.
When I drove home from work it was raining. Hope it wasn't raining toxic fuel .

The sky was crystal clear in NW Montana. I stood outside and watched it all. The sky was full of brilliant stars. The moon turned a pastel red when at the peak..... I took it all in, thougt of primitive man trying to explain what was happening when they saw the same thing.... must have been a truly magical, mystical event. I looked up, thought of the same stars they saw thousands of years ago... thought of the billions of galaxies with planets and some must be like ours, and they have moons, and living things watching their eclipses..... and I looked to the north and saw my favorite constellation, The Seven Sisters, my Husky howled, and all seemed at order in the universe for a minute......

Watched it out my window. Beautiful silver glow with a blue/black sky and one twinkling star around it.

It had just finished snowing here and the sky had cleared up. I went out and watched for a couple minutes. It was gorgeous.

Cloudy and a bit of snow on the Delmarva Peninsula last night, so no view of the lunar eclipse.....but my son & daughter loved the snow......which in these parts we welcome snow any time we can get it......it's all good!

I was flying in from NJ last night (to Chicago) and only got to catch it for a minute, due to being in airports, etc. But you could see it very clearly. What a beautiful sight.

Beautiful view here in Charlotte! There were lots of stars in the sky to begin with, but during the eclipse the stars were even brighter. That bright star to the bottom left of the moon(at least around here)-was Saturn.Thought I saw part of the Big Dipper too...

Eclipsed Moonlight
Credit & Copyright: Jerry Lodriguss (Catching the Light)

Explanation: Moon watchers blessed with clear skies over the Americas, Europe, Africa and western Asia enjoyed a total lunar eclipse this week. Catching eclipsed moonlight, astroimager Jerry Lodriguss offers this view of the inspiring celestial event with the shadowed Moon accompanied by wandering planet Saturn at the left, and bright Regulus, alpha star of the constellation Leo, above. The engaging composite picture was made by combining a filtered, telephoto image of the Moon and surrounding starfield with a telescopic exposure. The combination dramatizes the reddened moonlight while clearly showing the variation of brightness and color in Earth's not-so-dark shadow across the lunar surface.

Moon Slide Slim
Credit & Copyright: Stefan Seip (TWAN)

Explanation: No special filters - or even a telescope - are required to enjoy a leisurely lunar eclipse. In fact, watched from all over the night side of planet Earth, these regular celestial performances have entertained many casual skygazers. Still, this eye-catching picture of a lunar eclipse may look unfamiliar. To make it, astroimager Stefan Seip set his camera on a tripod and locked the shutter open during the total lunar eclipse of March 3, 2007. The resulting image records the trail of the Moon (and narrower trails of stars) sliding through the night. Reddish hues common during the total phase of a lunar eclipse, are evident along the darker, slimmer portion of the Moon trail. At least part of tonight's lunar eclipse will be visible in clear skies over the Americas, Europe, Africa and western Asia. The eclipse lasts over three hours from start to finish, with about 50 minutes of totality. Tonight's eclipse is the last total lunar eclipse until December of 2010.
