I just want to thank everyone who recently wished me a Happy 50th Birthday! I was quite surprised and felt really special for my big day. Had a great time with my daughter that weekend in New York City but missed my ROTTINPEACH so much. I tell you, he is my best friend, my true soulmate and yes, John, you are my significant other!

After I saw the postings on this site I mentioned them to my daughter while we were staying at the Applachian Loft in New York. One of the young ladies staying at the loft overheard me talking about the site and asked me if I liked the Allman Brothers. She shared with me that she has been to many concerts, really likes the Derek Trucks Band and that "today's music by various artists isn't worth listening to these days, that no one plays like the Allman Brothers, ......" My daughter is just amazed at me discussing the ABB with this new found friend. Thank you, John (Rottinpeach) for introducing me to the ABB and the wonderful friends we have made from this web site and the many concerts we have attended.

Last week at work I was talking to a client and told him how sleepy I was because I had gotten in so late that morning after attending the Devon Allman and Honeytribe concert in Columbia, SC. Well, 30 minutes later he and I are still discussing the Allman Brothers, he is sharing how he knew them when they were young, he use to be a musician, goes to the concerts, and was taking about the "Green House" from years ago. Again, it amazed me the type of "bond" there seems to be among those who follow the ABB and others that have branched out from this group. I feel honored to be a part of this group!

Assuming I have the right couple in mind . . .

I sure wish my wife would hang out with susiesoulshine for a few months. Please, teach her how to fish (and how to enjoy it) and how to appreciate good music.

And belated Happy Birthday!

happy belated birthday! wow, sounds like you are a very happy & complete person! and you share your life with your soulmate, that's awesome!
I also agree that music brings people together like nothing else can...of course with us true ABB fans, it is a spiritual religion of sorts! I have run in to some of the nicest folks you could ever meet along the way at shows & on the site & everyone is so decent & friendly, always welcoming with a sister or brotherly hug & smile...and you can engage in conversation real easily. I just don't get why all people aren't in tune with it!
