Howdy !

Got these in the last week.

Christina Aguilera: Back to Basics - Live and Down Under (DVD)

I'm a big fan of Christina, love her voice. I was watching this video in "Best Buys" Store. They had it on a big screen HDTV. She was in this killer short white skirt. Too short. After standing there drooling, walking away, coming back, drooling some more, walking away, coming back. I went ahead a bought it. I was afraid they were gonna escort me out of the store.

To bad I was not at this Best Buys:

The Outfit that had me coming back for more and more and more and more..LOL !

Tomorrow I'm gonna get this one :

Serious, I have yet to find it . Featuring new vocalist Robert Lowe.

Most music I have bought in some time.

How bout you ?

Welcome back, Kenny! How's your aunt?

I'm hitting a show in Princeton Saturday night (subdudes and Marcia Ball) and Jody and I are going to hit the Princeton Record Exchange before the show. http://www.prex.com/. This place looks awesome! Tomorrow is payday, so I'll have some cash when I hit the record store

This week I got:

Dirt Farmer-Levon Helm
Once Soundtrack
Something Else-Kinks

Love 'em all

Other recent cds:

Hernando-NMA
Sky Blue Sky-Wilco
Easy Tiger-Ryan Adams
Putomayo New Orleans Brass Bands

All of them are good, although a couple of songs on the Ryan Adams cd are clunkers.

No new music lately......lately, there doesn't seem to anything I "want" or that is "interesting". Bad feeeling looking around the store.

I've met Christina Aguilera in person: she was a TINY, TINY girl.

I've decided to start putting together a vinyl collection again, and so a couple of days ago I went to Streetlight Records in Santa Cruz, since I wanted to pick up a copy of Clapton's From the Cradle for a song I'm learning. I found a like-new copy of this for $1.95:

I also got this one, in near-pristine condition for $4.95, because they are playing here in April:

I found the Clapton CD used, and got it, and also got a used copy of this, for 5.95:

Well, all the Journey talk that was going on a couple of weeks ago got me to hankering for a bunch of tunes from the brief Gregg Rolie + Steve Perry period, so I ordered up both Infinity and Evolution. I listened each of them a couple of times, and said to myself, "self," and self said "huh?" "Why did you spend your money on this crap?" Just kidding. There are some good tunes on those two albums, and they bring back memories of a much more easygoing time in my life - the time when I was first starting to get into trouble, come to think of it.

Also - once again, thanks to pandora.com - I've recently learned that Tuck Andress did a solo album (I think he has two, the other a Christmas album). It's called "Reckless Precision" and I've got it ordered. I should see it in a few days.

SCB - hope you report back on the Beautiful Day show. They are one of my old-time favorites (as is this album, errr - CD). I saw them many moons ago and really enjoyed the show.

Kenny,

You're taste in music really runs the gamut! My daughter went to a Down concert last night and she met Phil Anselmo and it really made her day. She had a great time and she took some video and from the sound of it I think that I'll have to give her Down cd's a listen. We both went to see Rob Zombie last month and he really puts on a great show. My daughter won a contest and got to meet Sheri Moon Zombie and she was very nice and pretty too! I know I'm off the subject but I just wanted to comment and I personally haven't bought any new music lately. Just getting all my music that I have onto my Ipod that my husband got me for Christmas Take care!!!

I will do that. They are playing at a Mexican restaurant up here in the redwoods that has live music from all over the world.

And that is an album. I gave all of my albums away about 15 years ago, and I've decided to start buying albums again. The thread a few weeks ago about how many albums you own got me started.

Thanks, SCB! Anxious to hear how they're sounding today live. And in my house, this is both an album and a CD (as are most of my albums).
