What would be the opening act and headliner of a show you dream about? Must be performers that you never saw live.

I think all of us here would've loved to have seen Duane and BO, and some here have, but even they must have a 'perfect one time show' with no restrictions.

I would have loved to see this impossible show:

Townes Van Zandt opening (bringing on Eva Cassidy to join him in 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow')
Rory Gallagher headlining

(remember...can't be anyone you've seen perform live)

Everything that has been posted...Niccolò Paganini and Prince....Gordon Lightfoot and Slade...Dan Fogelberg and Metallica....

This is what I'm talking about. I LOVE passion! I love someone getting in my face, convincing me of a performers talent. I love to see in ones eyes that they 'GET IT!!'. Doesn't matter if I don't...that's why there is a million flavors of ice cream--not everybody has to agree.

I love the celebration of thought, the passion, and the stomping of one's foot into the sod and the shout "Here I Stand!" Lana and Rowland have dreamed a great dream.

Hmmmmmmm......

James Brown and the JB's

The Original ABB obviously

Muddy Waters

Howlin' Wolf

Ray Charles in his prime

Aretha Franklin in her prime

Jimi Hendrix

I would say the Beatles, but by all accounts, whenever they did play live you couldn't hear the music from all the screaming. So I would leave them off the list.

The Rolling Stones 68/69 Tour (All but Altamont of course)

Led Zeppelin

The "Relatively Sober Jim Morrison" Doors lol

Janis Joplin

U2 on The War tour

Lynyrd Skynyrd 1976/1977

Original Marshall Tucker Band

Pink Floyd

Buddy Holly

All those lineups at the same gig. I could call it "Shapestock" lol

Steve Gaines and either of his two bands: Crawdad or Detroit (or both!).

Rory Gallagher (who else Tan Dan!)

Then both Rory and Steve jam together for 20 minutes. Crowd goes wild. They play some more! Power is finally cut to the venue. StratDal runs to his car and brings out his acoustics for them to use. Gets invited up on stage. Once crowd hears StratDal, crowd goes home.
