I've been seeing some posts about how bad the security has gotten.I didn't notice any change in the way things are done.I was at two shows during last years run and it was very FREE.At this point MSG had taken over so I was expecting some changes but there was none. That being said,Has things changed since then?I could not make the MULE shows for New Years. So for those of you that did,How was the vibe?FREE or not?

My "partner in crime" and I were ousted from the facility last October at the Experience Hendrix show for puffing an herbal jazz cigarette. Took us into the lobby, had a powwow with other security peeps on walkie talkie, and showed us to the door after marking a scarlet "E" for "ejected" on the back of our ticket. C'est la vie, I guess.
We were in the center of row E in the orchestra on this occasion.

My wife and I were also asked to put out our "cig" during the ABB 07 Run as well. At least they didn't give us the heave.
Needless to say, it dampened our good time. I guess we potheads never learn.

If someone says The Beacon has been business as usual, they have been lucky. My experience should be proof. If you want to enjoy the show and enjoy some mother nature, do so outside- FAR FAR from the theatre, or in your hotel room.

Baked goods. Only way. They were tough the first night of the Mule shows. Eased a bit the next two. No puffign and hawk eyes up front. Sucks. But still a great venue.

Baked goods. Only way.
