They said these storms have killed over 40 people, 24 in Tennessee . I hope all the the Brothers and Sisters here are safe.

My Mom's already headed downstairs, she really freaks about bad weather. My Grandma when she was alive was even worse.

I remember when I was younger and living at home, Mom would get mad because I would stay upstairs, she wanted everyone huddled in the basement rooms.

I will never forgot one time, The storm siren starting blowing loud...it sounded like the old "Air raid' sirens. My Stepdad said "Alright Son, go outside and man those guns".

Mom went ballistic on us because I laughed.

Hope you all are safe and that anyone you know was not in those terrible tornadoes since last night.

Well, I better head downstairs before I get in trouble. :-)

Kenny

Yeah, I got my eye to the sky today. I have a club meeting tonight. Looks like I'll be going in the truck.

Well said. I live in Chicago and rely on public transportation so dealing with bad weather is much easier for me than it is for most people. When I see stories about the deadly storms in Tennessee I feel lucky that I don't have to face those hardships. My next thought is I hope those impacted by the storms are not hurt. Scary stuff.

LOL - Kenny, try to stay out of trouble, ok?

On a serious note - thoughts going out to the folks who ended up getting whipped by tornados and for everyone dealing with the winter blizzards.

Stay safe everyone.

Every day a new adventure here also. Either two feet of snow or freezing rain every day which makes for some fun driving.

north of oxford and on up to the TN border were not as lucky

it is 10:45am CST now and the wind is still howling outside

We had several tornados in the area last nite..I'm in Ar.,40 min. from memphis...some damage here locally, but no reported injuries.....The warning sirens went off 3 times in an hour at one point....spent that time in the hall closet covered w/pillows....3 confirmed dead in our State,so far...Memphis was hit really bad .....I'm not afraid of these things, having been thru so many of them...but,while living in Nashville around 8 yr's ago,I lost my home to one...while I was in it...that gave me a new-found respect for them,& how quickly your life changes......

Its sure sad about the folks losing their lives. The clouds are blowing through pretty fast here this afternoon here on the NC/SC line. Not much rain though but the wind is gettin it too.

Wow, I had no idea so many passed. I caught the update last night and haven't heard much more until now, as once again we are getting pounded by another blizzard here in southern Ontario. What rolled through there last night is what we are getting as snow today. Stay safe all!!!

Just heard a severe thunderstorm warning for Screven County, GA. That's Renee's neck of the woods. Keep your eye to the sky, Renee.

By the radar BD and Bluedad it looks like you all just got hammered down your way. It looks like
our area is going to miss the heavy stuff.

We're OK, RP. Lots of rain, a little strong wind, little to no thunder or lightning.

Been looking at the pictures on the front page, the devastation west of here looks much more severe than we usually see with these outbreaks. Looks like Lawrence County was hit pretty bad, 3 dead. Good to see Ann posting, hope there was no damage around Duck Tape.

That's very sad! My prayers and condolences are with all the victims of the deadly storms! Up here in the Northern subs of Chicago, we got bombarded with over a foot of snow! Allmost all schools and businesses were closed down! This is the worst winter storm in allmost 10 years!
