No biggie on this end as I think the power of the Mule gets lost at Wanee. I for one have been a little disappointed in past Mule shows at Wanee. Give me the Mule in a small indoor venue any day! This is an ABB festival for me. I LOVE the Mule but they take a back seat to the Brothers everyday of the week. Curious as to why they are only playing one night. I would like to think that Warren will be playing with the ABB both nights.

Yeah, I agree Mule at festivals are not the most exciting shows. But 2 shows woulda done me well. Oh well, what ever. I m not big on festivals anyway.

I would like to see the DTB on the main stage. I also imagine that Warren might play a bit with Ratdog.

Wanee is not a typical festival to me. I am not a big "festival person", but I cannot get enough of Wanee. There is just an electricity in the air that I have not experienced in any other place. The SOS has a lot to do with that. I'm sorry, but when I can wake up in the Florida springtime surrounded by trees draped in spanish moss, and ride a bike down to the Suwanee River and go for a swim with my favorite people on the planet.....THEN go listen to the Brothers?!?!?! I can't get enough.

I wish Mule was playing both nights. They got me back into improvisational music in the late 90's, and they are one of my favorite bands to see live (if not my favorite overall). Hopefully they'll play a 2-set show on Friday night.

Either way, Wanee is gonna be just as special as it has always been.

Now that really excites me.

LOL. It's funny when you hear it in my matter of fact, Brooklyn tone.

Sue, yeah I know, I said in the other thread I will think about it.

I do want to see everyone, though you know I will see a lot of people in just 2 short weeks. :-) I will think about it.

I don't know how Mule has been at Wannee because I haven't attended, but Gov't Mule has rocked out Hunter Mountain three years in a row at Mountain Jam with a forth coming up in May. To say Mule festival shows aren't exciting is completely wrong.

They also did one killer show at Bonnerroo last year, one of the best shows of the year IMO.

LOL. Ever the optimist, ey? Me I am a pragmatist with a touch of pessimism. LOL.

Yeah, I think a Warren and Friends thing on the midnight stage. What about that?

If not at least Warren will hang and enjoy.

I'm thinking that Ratdog will be in that slot on the other night, instead of Mule.
And that Warren will definitely be sitting in with Ratdog & probably wants to sit back & enjoy the festival & mingle more, since he is already performing w/ the ABB both nights.
Who knows??
Whatever happens..I know it will be incredible.......Wanee is special.
The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is kinda like "Neverland"
