First off, I'm not a Britney Spears fan. Never have been. I do know for a while she was on top of the Pop music scene. I kind of see her as a young girl who got in over her head in the music/entertainmant world. Her life go out of control and somewhere along the line she has lost it mentally to some degree.

I like most of you get so sick of hearing Britney "this" and Britney "that" over and over an over and over. It's like she's the most important human on the planet.

What really makes me sick is how the Papparazi(?), tabloids, and Entertainment TV have exploited this person for their own twisted agenda.

If I were to have been lucky enough to have been a Pop Star I honestly can't say how and what I would have done with so much success, but i'm sure I would have gotten out of control to some degree.

She's hounded everywhere she goes. Photographers stay located around her home 24 hours at a time. Dr. Phil had to shove his act into her life and now he is in danger of being sued himself.

When she had this latest breakdown, they said there was a motorcade as long as a football field escorting her to the Mental Hospital. Two Helicopters also. All over a Pop star who's mental and musical carrer are in a downfall. She's probably being exploited by Music Industry people too.

Yes, maybe by being in the limelight she asked for it. As some say "It goes with the Glamour".

I just keep thing at one time she was this simple girl from Louisiana that 12 to 14 year old girls worshiped and now she's a complete out of control trainwreck...with media wolves licking at the chops for her next mistake or downfall.

They said she may stay from 3 to 14 days at this Mental Facility,..then Mommy wants to take her back home. Who gets mentally well in 14 days, I have been having troubles for 4 months now and i'm still lost to some degree...LOL !

It's like when she was driving with her kid in her lap, and it was all over the news about how dangerous it was.

Her in Georgia we have kids being abused, tortured and murdered daily and the State DFACS Dept. does practically nothing. Goes out and comes back with a report made by some moron who says that all is okay. A few weeks later a child is dead. It blows my mind.

And if she really is mentally disturbed and out of control, it seems as if everyone is just standing around and waiting for the worst to happen...so they can be the first to exploit it.

My Daughter had some troubles a couple of years ago. Everyone said she's 25 now, you can't tell her how to run her life anymore. I took my A$$ down to her home and I stayed on her like a leech. Oh yes it pissed her off bigtime. Told me to "leave her alone and to get out of her home"..Well I did not. I was not about to turn away and when something bad happened to her just say "Well, I tried to help her". She finally agreed to get help after much badgering and verbal threats from me. Now she's fine and understands why I did what I did...even thanked me for caring enough and not letting up. It's probably the best thing I ever did for her.

Anyway like I said, My day does is not made or broke by the latest Britney report.

But I, unlike some people I do not want to see her fall and her life end in some terrible tragedy like Anna Nicole's did.

I have only been reading the Bible for a few months, first time in my life. But it's changed the way I look at some things and people. It's also made me a little more concerned about judging myself before judging others.

The entertainment industry is full of sick demented people, just waiting for someone to die or fall from grace. Then you have your common folks who get off on seeing someone famous go down.

There was no real reason for this thread, other than I got pissed off hearing "Britney over and over last night as I was channel surfing the TV.

Rant over.

I too hate to see the kid go down like this. She obviously has some mental problems, along with demons she is fighting. And, there are children to consider. parents have to keep tight reigns on star children or these are the results.
But I think it is the common folk you speak of who are the sick ones who hunger for the fall from grace. That's why it's on the news. The whole idea of putting on stories like this is to make you feel better about your life. Headline stories are allways about tragic incidents...so it makes you count your blessings that things like that don't happen to you and yours.
We are the ones who slow down on the highway when we see an accident...we dont' wait for the news to put it on.
The entertainment industry is like every other business...suppy and demand.

Me too. I also feel sorry for Britney - she's obviously lost and is not keeping people close to her who have her best interest at heart. Emotionally she's only at about an 11 year-old level - she never got to have a real childhood, was primary bread-winner for her family from a very young age, and didn't get the kind of parenting she needed growing up. No wonder she can't be a parent to her own children ... she has no example to follow. I hope she get's the help she needs before it's too late.

I feel sorry for her children. If she really is an emotional wreck then I sympathize. But shes an adult. Not having role models is not an excuse to be a reckless parent. And having money and being a celeb does matter, especially for her. She made poor choices that have forced her into the spotlight. There have been many threads here about mental health issues. And its those struggling to pay for meds for pay for proper health care that I truly feel sorry for. She has all the means to get the proper treatment, so if she needs it, then she needs to be responsible and get it.

It's a very sad situation all the way around... With fame comes alot of money, she needs to have already established people around her who care about her and her welfare.... She does have alot of problems and seems to be seeking out the attention of the paparazzi , could it be a scream for help , dating one and thinking they are her friends..to be sold out faster than they can say her name ....Ultimately, it is her children who will suffer the consequences that she brought onto them. The first thing she needs to do .... is move out of Hollywood .. California... and not to her hometown ..find someplace remote , peaceful and get in touch with herself.... surround herself with the right Doctors, get the right medication and take it responsively and people who truly love her... I hope she gets well....

She could come and stay at my Moms with me, I would share my Meds. I promise to keep my hands to myself, since I''m much older than her. I'm not a pervert. I may look like one , but I can't help that. Then I could be famous also, and get the right medical attention I need.

Well, I can dream can't I.

But serious, I hope she gets help and gets better. She started out as a pretty young girl who made the young teens happy. I remember when she first got famous. They had this contest where Britney would come to your house and have a party...I entered but never won..just kidding. Anyway this 13 year old Girl won and had her little friends over. Britney came over and it was filmed....those kids were freaking. You could tell Britney was bored, but she made them happy.

Then she got older and the Big shots pushed the trampy image, which they usualy do to young female singers with no great singing talent.

Thats why I get discouraged with Christine Aquilera, she can sing with the best of them...I love her voice...but she gets a little to trashy at times. She could also come stay at my Mom's. But I could not make any promises to behave. Geeze i'm sicker than I thought.

Now i'm starting Britney Spears threads, it's either that or Candlemass.

A doctor on the radio today said she was a classic case of being bi-polar. How she gets the help she needs. I am also tired of hearing about her.

She may be....I have heard folks say the same about Dickey Betts. I think the Bi-Polar thing gets over used a lot in this modern world. But she does have the symptoms.

I had this County shrink a couple of years ago...who after 5 minutes put that label on me. Scared the hell out of me. Bi-Polar is hard to treat. They have to find the right combo of meds..which can take forever. I have met some people that have never found their right med combo and the live in mental torture. I met this one Dude who had gotten his meds right and was okay. Thing was he was taking 7 meds..he had no health insurance. It was costing him over $ 500.00 Dollars a month to stay mentally healthy. He had a good attitude about it, he said "I used to spend more than that a month getting "High" "now he spends that much to get peace of mind.

Criteria for a Depressed Episode:
Five or more of the following symptoms must be present during the same two-week period and represent a change from previous functioning:

1. Depressed mood most of the day, nearly every day. In children and adolescents, can be irritable mood.
2. Markedly diminished interest or pleasure in all, or almost all, activities most of the day;
3. Significant weight loss when not dieting or weight gain (e.g., a change of more than 5% of body weight in a month), or decrease or increase in appetite nearly every day. In children, consider failure to make expected weight gains.
4. Having trouble sleeping or sleeping too much;
5. Feelings of restlessness, or fatigue;
6. Feelings of worthlessness or excessive or inappropriate guilt;
7. Diminished ability to think or concentrate, or indecisiveness;
8. Recurrent thoughts of death, recurrent suicidal ideation without a specific plan, or a specific plan for committing suicide.

Criteria for a Manic Episode
It must be a distinct period of abnormally and persistently elevated, expansive, or irritable mood, lasting at least 1 week (or any duration if hospitalization is necessary). There must be three or more of the following symptoms (four if the mood is only irritable), present to a significant degree:

1. Inflated self-esteem or grandiosity
2. Decreased need for sleep;
3. More talkative than usual;
4. Flights of ideas, or feels that thoughts are racing;
5. Distractibility
6. Increase in goal-directed activity (either socially, at work or school, or sexually);
7. Excessive involvement in pleasurable activities that have a high potential for painful consequences (e.g., engaging in unrestrained buying sprees, sexual indiscretions, or foolish business investments)

Criteria for Mixed Episode
Meets the criteria for both a manic episode and a major depressive episode nearly every day during at least a 1-week period.

Criteria for Hypomanic Episode
A distinct period of persistently elevated, expansive, or irritable mood, lasting at least 4 days. Three (or more) of the following symptoms must persist (four if the mood is only irritable), and have been present to a significant degree:Inflated self-esteem or grandiosity;

* Decreased need for sleep (e.g., feels rested after only 3 hours of sleep);
* More talkative than usual, or feels pressure to keep talking;
* Flight of ideas or feels that thoughts are racing;
* Distractibility;
* Increase in goal-directed activity (either socially, at work or school, or sexually);
* Excessive involvement in pleasurable activities that have a high potential for painful consequences (e.g., engaging in unrestrained buying sprees, sexual indiscretions, or foolish business investments)
*********************************************

My Psych I have now, who is a good man got pissed when I told him that the County Dude said that.

Then Later i was diagnosed as SSRI Bi-Polar...meaning that anti-depressents(Prozac, Celexa,Lexapro,..etc) could make me that way....although when I'm not on them..I'm not that way. Confusing...hell yeah it is.

I underlined(Bold) what happens to me for the first month if I take an SSRI, I hope to hell I never have to take one again. Most of the time, they cause people with Anxiety to get worse. But you know how some Docs are...they have to see it to beleive it.

So now they are trying to get me off the SSRI's..thank goodness..I hate them. I only need something for Anxiety/Panic....not something to make it worse. You have to come off them slowly or you could have withdrawals...depending on dosage.

Imagine taking a med that makes you feel that way and having to endure if for 30 days to see if it works...and if it don't then they start on you with something else. Over and Over until they get it right.

It's enough to drive a sane man crazy.

If she is Bi-Polar..then that explains a lot. It can be inherited, it can be caused by years of extreme stress or anger. It can be caused by over use of illegal drugs. Meth for sure.

It's what they used to call "Manic Depressive"

He was born in the belly of the country
Over east of Eden
Confused by the big city blues
He didn't know whose life he's leading
Put yourself behind the wheel
See if you can get that feel
Move faster by night
Move faster by night
The windows were all shattered
And the body was all battered

American Roulette
Stake your life upon it
American Roulette
Same eyes, same eyes
American Roulette

Take that body and put him in a mansion
Paint the window black
Give him all the women that he wants
Put a monkey on his back
All of your so called friends
Take you where the sidewalk ends
Can't sleep at night
Can't sleep at night
Lord please save his soul
He was the king of Rock and Roll

American Roulette
Stake your life upon it
American Roulette
Same eyes, same eyes
American Roulette

They said she didn't have a chance in hell
For the American Dream
There's a thousand young blondes out there
Trying to make it to the silver screen
She had the walk, the look, the talk
That shook the world (Read about it)
Some like it hot
Some like it cool
Too much to her to handle
Another scandal, she burnt the candle

American Roulette
Stake your life upon it
American Roulette
Same eyes, same eyes
American Roulette

Say a prayer for the lost generation
Who spin the wheel out of desperation

American Roulette
Stake your life upon it
American Roulette
Same eyes, same eyes
American Roulette

Such a fine line here. It was the spotlight that made her, and now it's going to bring her down. It's not easy for someone who has been an idol since a teenager to realize she is a has been, and no longer belongs in the spotlight as a performer. Once they get the taste of stardom, it's hard to give that up. Se should go away for a long time, let everyone forget about her for a bit. And, if she really still hungers for the life, get a great management team and agent, get a role, or a song of a lifetime for her to come back with. There were many laughing stocks who came back and rejuvinated their careers after being flat on their face.
It's the children that I worry about most. They need some stability before they reach an age of any kind of reasoning.
Brittney needs help, even though it is mostly self inflicting.
I'm pulling for the girl.

Here is a girl from Louisiana who grew up with a mother who pushed her into showbusiness from the time she was a small child. And judging from what her mother has done lately and how Brittany's sister is heading, it doesn't appear she was Mother of the Year at any point. So the kid grows up knowing nothing of what the real world is about and is a star at an early age with all the baggage that goes along with it....ie...yes people, people who are willing to do anything just to be part of her entourage and she has no foundation upon which to know how to handle not only her fame, but life in getneral.

She has two children back to back and is suffering from an obvious case of post partum depression that no one has been willing to take care of as she's been spinning more and more out of control....all the while doing it with the leeches who have made her a multi million dollar business in the media.

This woman is mentally ill and needs someone how knows what they're doing to intervene and it's not her parents. I feel sorry for the children...but I feel sorry for her too. If she doesn't get help, I don't think she's going to make it past forty.

And one thing about famous people. Really, they're just people for the most part who grew up like everyone else and happened to do something that put them in the spotlight. And they usually are surrounded by ones who are willing to buy the booze for the alcoholic or drugs for the addicted just to be included in the inner circle. That's their personal power trip and they generally don't give a damn about the person they're with.....that bottle or drug is their ticket in to the limelight and that's what it's about for them. How can people stay sane living surrounded by leeches like that?

Britney is not exploited by the media.

She is a media creation, brought to you by the Disney Empire.
From the new Mickey Mouse Club at age 11 to the
"Baby one more time" teenage sex kitten at 17.

All the agents and "Handlers" (than include family members) should have
done a better job developing her sense of self outside of the media
glory. That media is fickle bunch and the sword of fame cuts both ways.

I kinda wished she had stuck to gymnastics.

I hope she finds herself and is happy and healthy again.

This really is a sad case.

It sounds like she is bi-polar, so she needs to be treated for that. She needs the leeches removed from around her. She needs to forget about singing, or being a star, and concentrate on getting well. A long stay at a good facility would probably be the best thing for her, but it is anyone's guess what she will do next, or what will be done to her.

Personally, I can't imagine wanting to be famous. I don't have a whole lot to hide, but I don't really like people knowing what is going on in my life. I just like my privacy. I would go nuts if reporters were following me around. I wonder what it must be like for the Allman Brothers, with us on this website analyzing everything they've ever done or said.

I hope I never do anything noteworthy.
