Dear Amoricans,

Pre-order the Black Crowes forthcoming CD, Warpaint, now in this special offer from the Official Black Crowes Store. As an exclusive offer from the Official Black Crowes Store, order the Warpaint CD, along with the specially priced new album cover tee or both of them together in a bundle for an additional $10.

"Hallelujah, come join the jubilee."

That's the invitation that opens WARPAINT, the first new studio recording in seven years from the blessed THE BLACK CROWES, true believers in rock's power and potential to set us free. Their powerful new album - the first on the band's own Silver Arrow Records, distributed through Megaforce/Sony Red BMG - builds compellingly on the band?s trademark adventurous brew of rock, blues, country, soul and gospel, and finds the band in top fighting form.

Items in the Black Crowes Pre-Order store will be shipped on or about Friday, February, 29th. If you select Express Shipping, the order is guaranteed to arrive on the release date of Tuesday, March 4th. Please note, your credit card will be charged when you place the order.

My incredulity remains high. I don't know how this band is going to sound after dismissingvso many of its formidable players.

It did have some good songs on it but overall compared to the rest of their albums I think it is the weakest, IMO. I even like the underrated "By Your Side" better.

I can't think of ne of theres I don't like. I liked Lions and BYS, just as much as there other ones. It will be interesting to see how this new line up pans out. We all know the Robinsons brothers history and they seem to run the circus and call the shots with the Crwes. Hopefully Luther can still shine and have some input into the BC's music, and not get pushed aside.

I loved a lot of stuff from BY YOUR SIDE, and all the b-sides from those sessions (some of which were better than a lot of the album). I never understood the negativity towards the album. There ARE a couple songs that I really don't like, but it's like only 2 of them.

LIONS on the other hand, I do understand when people don't like that album, but a lot of it to me was production more than anything. A lot of it sounds like demos. But I think it's great that they did try to do something a little different on that album, it was time. It just totally didn't work for me. And actually, sometimes on LIONS I will love the verse of a song, but not like the chorus, or the other way around. There are some great moments on there. Some of the b-sides were really good too.

The new album I believe will be good. From the one song I heard, it sounds like classic Crowes. I am a big fan of Ed Hawrysch and Marc Ford. I love both of their styles. I am sad they are gone, but I don't believe it's going to hold the band back at all. Unfortunately, I believe Chris & Rich and made it a well known fact (and a legal one) many years ago that they are truly The Black Crowes and everyone else (including Steve Gorman) are hired hands.
