"TAIL OF TWO CITIES DVD PROBLEMS
It has been discovered that there was an error during the manufacturing process of the Tail of Two Cities DVD, and as a result, the discs included in the DVD package are defective. We are working hard to manufacture new discs as quickly as possible. Those of you who purchased the DVD via the Gov't Mule Store Pre-Order will receive new discs via mail as soon as they are manufactured. Please note, DO NOT RETURN your discs to Musictoday – we will automatically be sending you discs as soon as we have the corrected versions. Please save your DVD packaging, since we will only be sending the discs themselves.

Those of you who purchased the discs via traditional retail outlets can return the discs to point of purchase.

We apologize for the inconvenience, especially given the time of year. Again, we always appreciate your loyalty and want to make sure you receive the best product possible. Keep en eye on Mule.net as we will post updates here on the production timeframe as soon as they become available. "

You would think a month would be enough time to at least get an update.
Anyone hear anything from musictoday?

I have been thinking the same thing. I haven't watched the defective discs and really want to see these shows already. At least give us a clue as to how long it will be. I also hope they are gonna include replacements of the bonus disc as well.

I spoke with someone at Musictoday the first part of last week.

He said that they hoped to have the corrected discs by that Friday (01/18).

I agree, some official word would be nice.

I guess they didn't get them that day or I would assume we would have heard they shipped out.

That's a classic musictoday tell 'em what they wanna hear response. Been there w/ other purchases as well. Kinda like the bald headed blue guy that always goes back to the same restaurant where Grover is serving soup and constantly screwing up his order. "Why do I keep coming back to this place?"

I swear I am not trying to squash discussion about this. I would guess that Mule related people are finally on vacation, which is probably why you haven't heard anything from them. Here's a little thing Farmer posted on his My Space site:

2008?????

2008.... What happened ? I woke up and it's a new year??? Well the air's clean where I live, NOW (that's Tennessee if you gotta know) it's nice and cold (not COLD...dig?) and I/we are gittin' the rest we need. I, however am looking forward to getting back out there, where I guess, I belong. As for the OTHER criminals, I suppose they belong there as well.........

Don't give up on us baby, we're working our way back to you.....BABE?

Today, I received the following message........

Thanks for your patience while we fix the technical issues on The Tail of Two Cities DVD. As you know, we pride ourselves on the quality of our releases and we are doing everything, as fast as we can, to get new product to you. The technical issues were more serious than we originally thought but we are getting ready to re-press and should have new product to you within the next 3 weeks.

Well that is good news finally. I got the e-mail, but when I clicked on it it was blank. I wonder if we will get the bonus disc as well??? I hope so but either way it will be nice to finally have them. Unlike some others including one of my friends who couldn't resist watching the defective DVDs, I never watched them. I only watched the first couple of songs on the bonus disc before giving up because the quality was so bad.
