or so the wife says.

Just picked up the new Trower/Bruce CD, and for the hell of it,
Aerosmith's "Live Bootleg".

I then got an earful about the amount of music I buy.
By last count, I have over a thousand cd's (double and box sets count as 1).

Then probably another 400 or so on my hard drive from copying, downloadng or
pirating.

I listen to most of it throughout the year. Some do in fact sit and languish, but 90%
gets played.

Her point is ... well I am not entirely sure. I think it is more of the fact that my
collection takes up space she could use.

Addict? pee-shaw!

I hear you brother.

I was getting the "you need to either get rid of some of your CDs or find a place to store them" just this weekend. Then I came home from Sunday night's Trower concert with his new CD & the new North Mississippi All-Stars' CD should be arriving in the mail today. Oh well.

I just seperated from my wife, I left the HDTV, the DVD players, clothes, other stuf. BUT I took my 1,000+ commercial cd's close to 500 bootlegs, 200 tapes, my record collection and various artwork and posters. I too have an addiction my friend.

Definitly a club I have belonged to since I was a kid in the 70's! I prefer to think of it as a "passion" though! Fortunatley, my husband is *almost* as equally inflicted with it as well...we catch as many live shows as we can & we have countless cd's & an ipod library I'm proud of & ...in fact, I have enough songs on my ipod that I could listen to it for a solid 3 weeks withour hearing the same song twice. We each have our own faves but meet in the middle on quite a bit...he just can't relate to my ever growing Allmania...in fact, he finds it annoying...yet I just don't get why everyone doesn't have it!

Me too..... . I probably had up to 1,000 about 4 years ago. I sold and traded them in for other ones that I wanted and some very nice box sets I had been wanting. I kept pretty much my "essentials" and copied from what I wanted from the rest on my hard drive and on to blank CD's. So I probably have right around a 150 -200 CD's and close to the same amount in CD R' in MP3 format. So I still have alot but just kinda compacted. Yeah there are selcted ones that get played more, but throughout the year, most of them get some play time.

Now what about this new Jack Bruce and Trower CD? I might be interested in picking this up!

Hello. My name is Andrew.

I have been happily addicted to music since I was 12 years old.

Everyone should have a passion in their life and this one is mine.

I could live without music if I had to, but why would I want to?

God bless you, fellow music addicts. I already know I'm in very good company here...
