You have to go on, but you lose a little of your soul and heart every time.
I know I did.

Hey that's great Cami!

Your dad has touched a lot of us around here.

Though I must say your screen name is a little too close to a song title by the Allmans that I, um, don't much care for.

Hi Cami! Hope you stop by often.

Your Dad was truly a character.

But's that why so many of us cared about him so much.

Cami,

It's certainly not fair at all that your dad had to go when you were so young. But, there never is a good time. My mom died (from cancer) almost four years ago, and I was 43 at the time. I was crushed, much the same way I'm sure you were. The thing to do is try to go on and continue to make your dad proud as if he was still here, because, if you believe in angels, your dad is surely one now, looking after you, making sure you and your mom are well and good. Bob was a good man, a kind soul, and much loved by all of us here. We're glad you have decided to start posting. Keep coming back and saying hello. We appreciate it! Take care sweetie!

Dave

Hi sweetie!

I'm so glad you come here. It's good to know you and your Mom are doing ok. I'm sure there are some tough days, but it will get better. I wasn't too much older than you (16) when my Dad died.

We'll "see" you around, Cami

Hey, Cami. Glad you are here! Life goes on and we all learn to cope, with the help of loved ones. I loved your dad. He kept me laughing and he made me think...a lot. He was a big part of my family here, though we never met in person. Right now, memories of Bob make me grin with a little tear popping in the eye, but it won't be too terribly long (in the scheme of things) when the memories will only make me smile! I will always miss him.

Please, when you are ready, tell us some of your "Bobo" stories. Maybe a horse story or two?!

Hey Cami,

Your dad was a special guy and we all miss him very much. I still keep my flamingo hat that we all wore at Bobofest 2005 with all of my prized ABB memorabilia. I smile every time I see that flaming pink flamingo, even when it's not on a Thursday! What a time we all had all because of your wonderful dad.

Love to you and your mom.

So nice to see you carrying on with a thread of your very own! In "the Road Thread" your dad would always find a way to teach us not to take ourselves too seriously and at the same time keep us pretty grounded and appreciative of all that is good in this world.

Feel free to carry on the tradition of poking fun at Sang. Your dad would want that....

Cami - so glad to see that you are keeping the love alive that your dad started in many hearts here (you as a part of him have always been a part of that love, too). I'm thinking that your Dad is smiling down on you now and sprinkling you with his love much as he shared that love with you when he was here - he always expressed pride in the young woman that is Cami. Death is such a heartbreaking thing for those of us who are left behind - especially when it's fresh. But time does heal some of those hardest of feelings we're left with at first loss and memories of our loved ones eventually wrap a big band-aid of comfort around our hearts. It's good that you are sharing your feelings and I think you'll find a boatload of folks here who knew and loved your dad who will help you in keeping his memory strong and bright.

Hi Cami!

Great to see you here.

This is a nice idea for a thread, I'll be stopping by regularly.

I really miss the lunchtime phone conversations your dad & I had over the years, he always was a joy to talk to.

Take care.

Here's something funny. I haven't been horse back riding lately but there is a horse at the barn that I love. I love them all so it isn't just him. His name is Sparky. He is the horse I was riding in the pictures my dad put on here(The red horse in the pic) His owner has a sister and when she was younger she was eatting a putter butter sandwich next to his stall. She leaned back a little and Sparky took the sandwich out of her hand and ate it! LOL He always wants food! Thought you might find that funny

LOL !

I never knew Horses liked Peanut Butter sandwhiches, we have a labrador(Sam) that likes Cheese Burgers. Once my Stepdad bought 5 Cheeseburgers from Waffle House for men that were working on our house. He went back to the car to get them and Sam our dog had eaten ALL 5 of them. From then on we had to keep an eye on Sam when there was Burgers around.

Don't let Kenny around your burgers.
