Caught that tour and she was at her best...it took a while for her to get the accross the board appreciation she deserved however she was rocking hard for a long time before her commercial success and I was lovin it.... still do

love her early stuff--got a great tape somewhere's hidden in my collection of Bonnie in NYC(Bottom Line) in 74--i think solo--very soulful stuff--saw her a few times--lost interest when Don Was produced her more "contemporary" sound---she's returned since to a sound i like better--i guess i never like much that Was produces--even Dylan
also love her work with John Lee Hooker & her charitable work helping Blues musicians in $$ difficulties....

Not to disrespect either of these fine talents, but given Bonnie's time in the business.. I believe this quote is backwards... Susan, at times...sounds a little like Bonnie.

You've got that right. As much as I love Susan's playing and singing, she has a long, long, long way to go before she catches up to Bonnie Raitt. They are both sexy as hell as well.

Bonnie, Bonnie... is there a better white female blues singer/guitarist? Nope. I got a new turntable for Xmas and started burning some cds off my old vinyl collection. Bonnie from 30 odd years ago was one of the first I threw on the new machine.
