Very cool!!!!! Thanks for the info Angela. The Archives are not letting me in right now so I will try again later. I am not very computer savvy, so I do everything in MP3 form. I have tried to do the e-tree thing many times and can't figure it out. Someday I will have to be physically shown how by somebody in the know.

I just downloaded the show I attended on 11-2 and it sounds absolutely awesome. Say what you will about the Nokia Theatre, but the sound at the show that night was just as crisp as it is from the soundboard. Maybe the best sound of any venue I have ever been to.

Thank you Phil Lesh for being so freakin' cool and giving us such an awesome Christmas gift. The shows are all amazing and you could have made a lot of money selling them. Your generosity is just unbelievable. Happy Holidays for everyone involved in the Phil & Friends family.

So....if you had time to just download one for now....which one?

I see 11/2 mentioned in this thread....

Probably can't go wrong with any of them though, right?

Just wanted to let everyone know these Soundboards were also added to The Live Music Archive as well. Right now however, The Archive seems to be experiencing some technical problems and glitches again like it was a few weeks ago. None of the individual download files seem to be there. THis is happening to all shows listed there, not just Phils'. I am pretty sure this will be resolved quickly though...

That being said, Yes, Phil is the Man! He continues to set the standard for giving back free quality music to the community. I love the direction Phil has taken his band the last couple of years, settling into a more Americana and Roots Rock feel ala "American Beauty" and "Workingmans Dead" period. The shows I caught at Nokia were wonderful. The top notch Jamming is still there, but it is more focused and structured than say the years of "PLQ" with Warren and Jimmy. Larry Campbell is Monster - One of the best and most versatile and dynamic players out there. The guy plays guitar, fiddle, mandolin and pedal steel all equally well. Phil is still at his age, dropping his patented Phil BOMBS left and right driving the band into new grooves - and John Molo on drums has always been a world class player. Phils live shows are tough to beat. Go grab some of these Soundboards if you can, you won't be dissappointed. I will be trying to do so over the next few days if time allows etc. Thanks Phil, for all you do!

Happy Holidays guys!

Larry is one of the finest guitarists out there today...& incredibly versatile multi instrumentalist i saw him many times playing in Dylan's band & currently he is a full time member of the Levon Helm Band--he also co produced & played on Levon's Grammy nominated DIRTFARMER album...
11/2 looks like an awesome set--if i could only get my son to download it for me!!!

Agreed I was listening to the 6/26/74 show earlier today, and thinking the same thing. During I Know You Rider, he drops a bomb that sends the Providence Civic Center into chaos.

Wish I could have been there! I was at the Echo Project Phil show in October, though, and everything Eddie says about this new version of the Friends is right on point. Larry Campbell is a montster musician, Jackie Greene adds youthful fire, they are clicking on all cylinders. Great band!

Eddie--great post--He really gives back to the people in so many ways besides the great music--ie. the ticket prices for the last few years have been more than reasonable whether the show was at the Beacon, Nokia, or PNC.
