Congratulations! If you're a classic VH fan, you will be in for a great time. Ballstothewall, Old school VH-brand Rock n Roll. Great setlist. DLR and Alex sound great. Wolfie does a fine job. Eddie is not what he was 20 years ago, but he held his own. I saw 2 shows last tour and I'm considering my 2nd MSG show on St. Patty's Day.
Have a great time!!

I'm going to Atlanta. Haven't seen them since the '93 tour, so I'm looking forward to it. From everything I've read, they all are bringing their A game each night, and that Wolfie is holding his own. I do wish they could've worked out any differences with Mike Anthony, but what're you gonna do? The only regular complaint I've read is about the sound. It's deafening loud, to the point of being painful without earplugs, and the result is that the sound is also very muddy. Hopefully, they'll have some time to work those things out between legs of the tour. Oh, and there're no midgets on this tour.

Didn't go for the first round, but after seeing that they are actually really good I bought a ticket for the return MSG date in March. I am a huge classic Van Halen fan. I liked the Sammy era but it doesn't compare to the Dave catalog. I saw them twice with Dave back in the day, about seven times with Hagar, and twice with Charone. This will bring me full circle. I didn't think they would be any good on this tour but I have been proven wrong. They finally got Dave to stop running around, looking like a clown with the bleeched hair and monkey suits and he is singing the songs the way they were supposed to be sung. He can't do all of those high pitched screams that were part of his trademark, but that is understandable. I still don't like the way they have treated Michael Anthony though. It would be sweet if they could actually recapture some of the old magic in the studio.

If you are a DLR era VH fan you will love this show. Caught them at MSG, not expecting a whole lot and was blown away. DLR's voice is back in good shape, EVH's back on his game and Wolfie fills in OK. Missed MA, but this is certainly better than nothing. What impressed me most was these guys didn't just show up to grab a paycheck, they came out and left all they had to give on the stage for the fans. Bravo!
