Downsizing, divorce, new house, smaller house, not as much closet space.....has left me wondering what to do with these darn concert T shirts from my youth?

Keep in mind, NONE of them fit anymore, strictly sentimental, but am asking myself..."sentimental? what does that mean?"

Suggestions?

I suppose I stupidly thought my kids would think they were cool and want to wear them.....nope.

I'm at a point in life where I would like to cut these sort of things loose and let them go, just let 'em go...

What has everyone else done with these things?

Mine survived the divorce, but then there was not enough room when the second marriage and new home came.

I think I have a few, but most went to charity. I had some consolation when I realized many newer versions (that fit me) could be bought online.

And Iíve still got more than I need.

I have posted before but for those new I had a box of ABB (89-02) / Mule shirts (95-2000) in my basement. I was away on buisness when the wife called and said the washer hose went and the basement was flooded. She told me she threw the box out! It had about 35 shirts. I was going to frame the front and back for a music room.

If you need/want the money, sell them on eBay- if you don;t want the hassle of selling them one-by-one, you can sell them in lots. If the space is the only issue, why not put them for Bob auction/sale here?

I never bought many, but I did have the foresight to keep my 77 Zep T and 79 Neil Rust Never Sleeps T. I'm hoping to fund my retirement w/ them!

T-Shirts, especially Concert shirts are cheap and mass produced.

I buy them and wear them to the Concert the next time that band is in town.

T-Shirts are made to be worn. Try this, when you get home fron the Concert, take a picture of the art work on both sides of the T-Shirt. Keep that for the memories and wear the shirt!

I'm with Ron, quilts are very nice when done by a master quilter. You'd be pleased. I've seen the quilt as a wall hanging also.

Donna Hopkins took a box of old shirts to her friend Tony Galliher in Gastonia, NC, and he made the beautiful quilt below. Donna says, "I wish you could see the quilt up close because you have to see it in person to believe the stitching that went into it! Thank you Tony!! I love it!!" Tony can be reached at mr-tony@carolina.rr.com.

Keep em, you will wish you did later.

I wore most of mine out wearing them.

Then I let my Sister, Daughter and Niece pick through the rest..surprised me how many they took.

They were arguing over my Misfits shirt, I would have kept it, but it was so small..it looked as if it would explode if I wore it.

I kept a few.

I also kept the notoriuos Yellow Cramps "Bad Brains" T-Shirt that I wear to every ABB show I go too. (Not the one pictured above, I still have the one above also.

One of my all time faves is my Dead Kennedy's T-Shirt

Well, not a problem anymore...my Mom (74 yrs. young) made a blanket...we hesitate to call it a quilt, so we call it a blanket. And I ain't treating it like a museum piece either...I use it. I think it's pretty cool:
