Probably would be "Night Train", some nastiest tasting swill anybody every drunk, but it would certainly give you a "BUZZ". Of course, Boone's Farm and MD 20/20 aren't far behind.

Mine and Freds favorite

RIPPLE

Now I cant find it anywhere.

Yes, Boones is out there. They took the Farm off of the label though.

Yes I have used it in a waterpipe but didnt have the gonads to drink it afterwards. If your talking
about drinking it from the pipe.....that would be a bionic swig!!!

A half gallon jug of Spanada, tasted like carbonated grape juice, not too bad. I remember passin' that jug around between about six people. Boone's Farm? Too bad to even drink!! Recycled piss with sugar and food coloring added if you ask me.

Ah yes, Fred G. Sanford, the Watts wine afficionado. He liked to mix Ripple w/ Champagne, Champipple!

The cheapest and worst I ever drank was some homemade wine made by my neighborhood friend when we were 14. At least we were not sniffing glue!

i am not sure that boones or MD count as wine. I belive that grapes are needed to make wine.

The cheapest i ever drank was a $3 bottle bought as a gas station next to Senaca Rock WV. It wasn't too bad.

I think your best value would be box wine. You cant beat Franzia or Peter Vella. Plus once you drink a little it fits inside a cargo pocket, which makes for good travels around the parking lot. (I also carried a box of sangria, down to the bottom of the grand canyon. A great reward for a long days hike).

Talking Thunderbird Blues

by Townes Van Zandt

Among the strangest things I ever heard
was when a friend of mine said "Man, let's get some Thunderbird"
I said "What's that?" he just started to grin
slobbered on his shirt, his eyes got dim
he said "You got fifty-nine cents?"

I said "Yeah, I got a dollar, but don't be a smart-aleck
I ain't gonna spend it on no indian relic"
and he said "Thunderbird's not an old indian trinket,
it's a wine, man, you take it home and drink it."
I said "It sure don't sound like wine to me"
and he said he'd bet me the change from my dollar

We hustled on down to the nearest U-Tate-Um
the guy wanted my ID, I whipped her out and showed him
he got a green bottle from the freezing vault
my friend started doing backward somersaults
through the cottage cheese

Took it back to his house, started drinkin'
pretty soon I set in to thinkin'
"Man, this Thunderbird tastes yummy, yummy, yummy
and I know it's doing good things to my tummy, tum..., t..."
it's so you reason when your on that crap

Got a few more bottles, chugged them down
I pulled myself up off the ground
decided I go see my dearest sweet wife
who met me at the door with a carving knife
said "Get them damn grape peel from between your teeth."

I could see we're gonna have a little misunderstanding
I said "Dear, I better get in touch with you later"
She said "Forget it, man, you're never touchin' me again!"

Now I've seen the light and heard the word
and I'm staying away from that ol' dirty Thunderbird
a message come from heaven radiant, and fine,
all I drink now is communion wine
six days a week

My dad used to make his own wine. Horrid stuff but at 15 years old it was all good to us and free. Used to add sugar to it to kill the vinegar taste. Good times

One fateful night circa 1974 I had 2 89 cent bottles of Bali Hai and some other stuff that landed me in the hospital. Worst night of my life, bar none. More recently an old Hungarian coworker brought in some homemade dandelion wine that lit up everyone who tried it. These days a good merlot is more to my liking...
