At one point, I had gone over 25 years between ABB shows.

Six years, one month and one day....between July 20, 1996 and August 21, 2002, I attended no Allman Brothers shows.

Why not?

Maybe I'll go into that some other time...

I went from 1974 until 2002....in between I seen everyone else just about.

I think Enigmajean did about the same length of time....

That would be from the age of 18 until 46...yep 28 years of partly cloudy with a chance of brain rot.....

'79 ER tour, philly show until '98 oak mountain...

i went into a self-imposed exile from popular culture...only listened to bluegrass, new acoustic music, and a little jazz during those years...didn't touch an electric guitar during that time...

glad i got well...the thaw began with a dTb show here about five years ago...

A friend of mine here in Cackalaki has always been a wonderful folk/bluegrass guitarist. Not long after seeing him at last month's Derek Trucks show, I ran into him again. He is now the proud owner of an electric guitar.

15 years--11/14/81 at the Fox until 7/7/96 at Lakewood...I got married, had three kids and gave up going to concerts for a while because I thought I had seen everything.
I completely missed the Aquarium Rescue Unit and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Fortunately my wife left me the same year the Olympics were in Atlanta and I picked up right where I left off with my favorite band, started going to Mardi Gras a year later, picked up Jim Benjamin at the Birmingham Airport on 9/21/02, and things have been just peachy ever since.

PS I'll see you guys at the Beacon next year...

Last show, Beacon 2002. Next show: Beacon 2004. If one was closer to me I'd try to go this year, but planes, motels, and trips don't go with chemo. That, and the two closest shows to me this year are 5-600 miles away. Other years, that is close! I'm jonesing big time already. Whaaaaa!

Last show was 9/29/02...the final show of last years tour.
Although, they usually skip us here in Texas about every other tour...just like the current tour....Thinkin' of catchin' them in Vegas this year...that sounds pretty good since I haven't been there in a few years either.

I had a 11 year break between a show I saw in Fayetteville, NC in Nov/Dec 1980 where the ABB played (Atlanta Rhythm Section opened, and they were actually better than the ABB that night) and Nov 16, 1991 where I saw the band in Fairfax, Va with Little Feat (my two favorite bands in one night, damn good show, too).

I've seen 2 ABB shows : 3/11/99 at the Beacon, New York City and 6/28/02 at the Milwaukee Summerfest. I have no idea when is gonna be the next. They should really consider of coming over here - Europe that is, Germany ! Lots of fans would appreciate !

I've gone to every ABB show I've had the opportunity to go to since 1994! Of course I live in Chicago, so that means I usually go about a year between shows. (Although I do travel to see them often, so many years I have caught them much more than that)
